Patent number: 9433142Abstract: A seeder includes a frame on ground wheels defining tool bars for seeding elements spaced across the frame. Each element includes a pair of parallel arms connected to the tool bar bracket forming a parallel linkage for up and down movement of a support arm connected at a rear end and carrying the packer wheel. A spring applies a downward spring force on the parallel linkage to apply a downward force on the packer wheel so that the spring force increases as the parallel arms pivot upwardly and decreases as the parallel arms pivot downwardly. A control device is arranged to raise and lower the tool bar in response to a detected value of a sensor so as to change the angle of the parallel linkage and change the spring force. A cam controlled double rack adjustment of the height of the opener allows the user to change seeding depth.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2012Date of Patent: September 6, 2016Assignee: Buhler Ezee-On Inc.Inventors: Gary Bergen, Sylvio Julien Tessier, Tim Strydhorst, James Eichele, Grant Howard Adolph, Ryan Pinfold, Sean Lewis, Leo V. Turko, Larry Beever

Patent number: 7152891Abstract: A lockset for use in a door assembly is provided and includes an interior mechanism having a first escutcheon, a first housing, and a first retainer shield and an exterior mechanism having a second escutcheon, a second housing, and a second retainer shield. In addition, a spindle assembly is provided to interface with a latch mounted on the door assembly and allow for selective locking of the lockset. The spindle assembly is lockable in one of two rotational positions relative the first and second escutcheons when the first housing engages the first retainer shield and the second housing engages the second retainer shield. By providing rotational adjustment of the spindle assembly relative the first and second escutcheons, the lockset is able accommodate either a left or a right-handed door.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2004Date of Patent: December 26, 2006Assignee: Newfrey LLCInventors: Gary Bergen, Gerard Adelmeyer

Patent number: 6860529Abstract: A tubular lockset includes a push button locking actuator with an automatic kick-off feature. A spindle assembly extends between an interior knob or lever and an exterior knob or lever. A latch assembly includes a bolt and a locking member that is movable between a locking position, where the locking member engages the spindle assembly, and an unlocking position. When the latch bolt is moved about ? inch, a locking member is disengaged from the spindle assembly to unlock the lockset. The disengagement occurs independently of any movement of the interior knob or lever.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2002Date of Patent: March 1, 2005Assignee: Newfrey LLCInventors: Gerald B. Chong, Gary Bergen

A spindle assembly extends between an interior knob or lever and an exterior knob or lever. A latch assembly includes a bolt and a locking member that is movable between a locking position, where the locking member engages the spindle assembly, and an unlocking position. When the latch bolt is moved about ⅛ inch, a locking member is disengaged from the spindle assembly to unlock the lockset. The disengagement occurs independently of any movement of the interior knob or lever.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2002Publication date: June 12, 2003Inventors: Gerald B. Chong, Gary Bergen

Patent number: 6128933Abstract: An adjustable interconnected lockset adapted to be secured to a door which includes a mounting plate assembly having a vertically extending mounting plate having an operator bracket proximate the bottom thereof with the operator bracket having screw receiving holes. The lockset also has an exterior operator assembly including internally threaded posts, first screw holes extending through the mounting plate and screws which extend through the mounting plate and threadedly engaging with the threaded posts to clamp the door between the exterior operator assembly and the mounting plate assembly. The mounting plate has a central opening extending vertically upwardly from a location proximate the operator bracket and defining mounting plate side panels on either side thereof and the mounting plate assembly further has a dead bolt bracket which includes a central door engaging portion, a pair of opposed side portions adapted to engage the mounting plate side panels, and screw receiving holes.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2000Date of Patent: October 10, 2000Assignee: Emhart Inc.Inventors: David Mirshafiee, Gary Bergen
