  • Publication number: 20070198459
Abstract: The present disclosure includes systems and techniques relating to online information analysis. In general, in one implementation, a system includes a collection engine configured to accumulate document information retrieved from publicly accessible network resources according to predefined subjects, and an analysis engine configured to analyze the accumulated document information to identify change over a time period in general discussion of a topic within a selected subject of the predefined subjects, the analysis engine further configured to normalize the identified change over the time period based on change in a total number of documents found for the selected subject during the time period.

  • Patent number: 4294566
Abstract: A cutter insert presenting eight positive cutting edges has a generally rectangular prismatic configuration to permit its securement in a tool holder having a conventional square insert-receiving pocket. The insert has a pair of opposed primary faces, and four rectangular side faces each having a pair of coplanar, flat lands in opposite corners thereof to permit positive location and clamping of the insert. Each side face also has a laterally opposed pair of positive beveled facets formed therein and intersecting the respective primary faces to define neutral cutting edges for the insert. An elongate groove extends intermediate the beveled facets of each side face parallel to the neutral cutting edges and functions as a chip breaker to provide freer cutting and better chip control. In preferred forms, a square pocketed tool holder is complementally configured to advantageously support the cutter insert in a manner to present a negative angle of attack at the work surface.

  • Patent number: 3962683
Abstract: A synchronous computing system includes a central processor unit interconnected with external memory units. The processor is integrated monolithically on a single chip and includes a plurality of data registers, a parallel arithmetic logic unit and an instruction register interconnected by a common parallel buss. A control section of the processor synchronizes internal operation of the processor and also system operation, and includes a plurality of programmable logic arrays to provide a versatile method of accommodating different instruction sets, sequences of operation, and instruction cycle duration. The arrays reduce the number of interconnects required and increases utilization of semiconductor material for forming active devices. This is a continuation of application Ser. No. 176,665, filed Aug. 31, 1971, now abandoned.
