  • Publication number: 20140304724
Abstract: This disclosure describes methods and systems to quantify and understand the behavior and consumption patterns of audiences with respect to Internet video and rich media applications. In operation, an end user video player or a rich media application (such as an interactive advertisement built with Flash or other method) is instrumented to capture data. The data is collected by a service provider and made available for viewing by customers of a video experience and rich media behavior measurement service.

  • Patent number: 8472131
Abstract: There is provided a disk drive including a disk drive base, a disk rotatably coupled to the disk drive base, and a spindle motor attached to the disk drive base and configured to support the disk for rotating the disk with respect to the disk drive base. The disk drive further includes a filter component. The filter component includes a filter housing coupled to the disk drive base, and a filter element disposed within the filter housing for filtering disk rotation induced airflow. The filter element includes a coarse section and a fine section. The coarse section has a porosity greater than a porosity of the fine section.

The disk drive further includes a filter component. The filter component includes a filter housing coupled to the disk drive base, and a pair of filter elements disposed within the filter housing for filtering disk rotation induced airflow. Each filter element includes a coarse section and a fine section, wherein the coarse section is positioned upstream of the fine section relative to a direction of the induced airflow.

  • Patent number: 7209319
Abstract: A disk drive includes a disk drive housing having a breather hole formed through the disk drive housing. A breather filter is configured for attachment to the disk drive housing and for limiting and filtering airflow into the disk drive housing. The breather filter includes a breather filter housing portion having a breather filter housing surface that defines a filter housing hole. The filter housing hole is configured to align with the breather hole formed in the disk drive housing. A filter portion is fitted within the filter housing portion. A leveling layer is provided that defines a first leveling layer surface and a second leveling layer surface. The leveling layer is formed of a material that is impermeable to air. A first adhesive layer is provided to adhere the breather filter housing surface to the first leveling layer surface. A second adhesive layer 40 is also provided to adhere the second leveling layer surface to the disk drive housing.

  • Patent number: 6781791
Abstract: A disk drive that includes a disk drive base, a spindle motor hub, a disk, and a rotary actuator including a distal end and is formed to pivot for translating the distal end adjacent the disk to a parked position. The disk drive includes a disk plate that includes a plate body disposed substantially about and parallel with the disk for modifying air flow adjacent the disk during operation of the disk drive. In an embodiment the disk plate includes a head limiter portion extending from the plate body. The head limiter portion is vertically aligned with the distal end with the distal end in the parked position. In other embodiment the disk plate includes an arm limiter portion vertically aligned with the actuator arm structure with the actuator arm structure in the parked position.

  • Patent number: 6624966
Abstract: A disk drive including a disk drive base. The disk drive further includes at least one rotatable disk which includes a disk surface extending to an outer disk edge. The disk drive further includes a head stack assembly rotatably attached to the disk drive base in operable communication with the disk. The disk drive further includes an airflow suppressor comb coupled to the disk drive base and stationary relative to the disk drive base during operation of the disk drive. The comb includes a comb body disposed adjacent to the outer disk edge, and at least one tine extending from the comb body along the disk surface for mitigating disk rotation induced airflow upon the head stack assembly adjacent to the disk surface.
