Patent number: 11964313Abstract: A nozzle for water jet equipment and a method of use thereof. The nozzle has a body including a base with a shaft extending outwardly therefrom. The shaft is inserted through a bore of a sleeve that rotatable about the shaft. The base and shaft define a bore therein. At least one opening is defined in the shaft and one or more grooves are milled into the shaft's exterior surface. Each opening places the body's bore in fluid communication with one of the grooves and the sleeve's bore. Water flowing through the body's bore will flow through each opening, into the associated groove and into a space between the shaft and sleeve. Each check valve assembly is a three part structure spot-welded into a unitary assembly having a centering support plate, a core support cup and an intermediate flapper valve plate. A depth-type filter media circumferentially surrounds the desiccant core and extends between the check valve assembly on either end of the core for providing filtering for the fluid prior to entering the molded desiccant core. A depth-type filter media 80, 81 is also provided at each axial end of the core for providing fine filtration of the fluid after the fluid has passed through the core. Patent number: 6131405Abstract: A device for separating oil from an oil/gas mixture in a refrigeration or heat pump system includes a cylindrical housing circumscribing a central axis with upper and lower end caps. A scroll-shaped separator baffle disposed in the housing defines a flow path extending radially-inward in a spiral manner from a peripheral region of the housing toward the central axis of the housing. An inlet conduit in the upper end cap directs an oil/gas mixture into the housing. An upper baffle plate supporting an upper end of the separator baffle directs the oil/gas mixture from the inlet to the peripheral region of the housing and into the separator baffle. The oil in the mixture generally separates from the gas in the mixture and deposits on the wall of the separator baffle the mixture flows radially inward through the separator baffle. Patent number: 6062039Abstract: An accumulator for a refrigeration system includes a housing having a cylindrical sidewall, a lower end wall, and an upper end cap. Inlet and outlet passages are provided in the upper end cap for directing refrigerant into and out of the accumulator. A U-shaped return conduit is provided in the accumulator for directing vapor or gaseous refrigerant out of the accumulator. A baffle having a central circular opening is retained between a circular bead on the return conduit and the upper end cap. The circular bead surrounds the conduit toward the outlet end of the conduit. The return conduit is introduced through the central opening in the baffle until the bead contacts the inside surface of the baffle around the central opening. Inlet and outlet tubes are provided in the housing for directing refrigerant into and out of the accumulator. The inlet tube includes a first end fluidly connected to an inlet fitting at the upper end wall of the housing, and a second end located proximate the lower end wall of the housing. A longitudinal orifice is provided along the entire length of the inlet tube, from a location above the level of stored liquid refrigerant in the accumulator, to a location below the level of stored liquid. The orifice is oriented to direct fluid tangentially along the inside surface of the side wall. Patent number: 5575833Abstract: A refrigerant recycling system (10) has a compressor (12) and identical first and second drier/separators (18, 20). Refrigerant material to be reclaimed is drawn into an inlet (22) of the first drier/separator, in which lubricant is separated from refrigerant vapor. After the lubricant is removed, the refrigerant vapor is filtered as it passes through a screen (80), a bed of molecular sieve material (82), and a fibrous pad (84). After passing through the first drier/separator, the refrigerant enters the compressor in which clean lubricant material is introduced to enable the compressor to operate effectively. From the compressor, the refrigerant vapor and clean lubricant passes through the second drier/separator wherein the clean lubricant is removed and the refrigerant vapor is again filtered. The twice filtered vapor is then passed to a condenser (44) in which it is condensed to a liquid. Patent number: 5071174Abstract: In a construction for joining a copper tube (20) to a steel body (10) which may be part of a device such as an accumulator used in an air conditioning system, the copper tube is passed into an opening (14) in a wall (12) of the steel body. The opening in the steel body is bounded by a neck projection (18) which extends outward therefrom. A copper collar (24) includes a first portion (26) which accepts neck projection (18) of the steel body. A second portion (28) of the copper collar (24) accepts the copper tube. A mass (34) of brazing material is positioned in the collar in a tapered transitional portion (30) between the first and second portions of the collar. When the body, tube and collar are assembled and placed in a brazing furnace, the brazing material melts and flows by capillary action between the first portion of the collar and the outside of the neck projection of the steel body.
