  • Publication number: 20100095977
Abstract: A hair band assembly includes a lower band element and an upper band element defining a cavity there between. A pair of eyeglasses, including a frame element enclosing lenses therein, is connected to the hair band assembly via a connector that allows the eyeglasses to pivot between two positions an extended position on the individual's face, and a refracted position within the cavity of the hair band. The frame element on the eyeglasses includes a tab that projects outwardly from the side of the eyeglasses. The tab fits into a recess defined within the upper band element to allow easy retrieval. The frame element also includes a protrusion that mates with a recess on the lower side of the upper band element, such that the recess forms a protrusion snap lock for holding the eyeglasses in place within the cavity. The hair band assembly encompasses a reversible decorative element that is removable from the hair band.

  • Publication number: 20070255480
Abstract: The present invention provides a collision avoidance apparatus and method employing stereo vision applications for adaptive vehicular control. The stereo vision applications are comprised of a road detection function and a vehicle detection and tracking function. The road detection function makes use of three-dimensional point data, computed from stereo image data, to locate the road surface ahead of a host vehicle. Information gathered by the road detection function is used to guide the vehicle detection and tracking function, which provides lead motion data to a vehicular control system of the collision avoidance apparatus. Similar to the road detection function, stereo image data is used by the vehicle detection and tracking function to determine the depth of image scene features, thereby providing a robust means for identifying potential lead vehicles in a headway direction of the host vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20070151655
Abstract: A method of forming a moldable fabric face composite. The fabric is formed in a knit or woven structure using underdrawn POY yarns and laminated to a low permeability plastically deformable backing for introduction to a mold. The underdrawn POY yams impart a stretch characteristics such that the fabric undergoes plastic deformation elongation in all directions upon application of force followed by low recovery after force removal.

  • Patent number: 5238439
Abstract: A miniature musical windmill barn is provided and consists of a housing simulating a miniature barn with louvers covering a mechanical reproducing music mechanism on an elevated platform. A wind wheel exteriorly of the housing on a vertical shaft will rotate the shaft when the wind blows. A structure between the mechanical reproducing music mechanism and the vertical shaft will operate the mechanical reproducing music mechanism by the rotation of the vertical shaft, so that when the wind blows, the music will be mechanically reproduced.
