  • Patent number: 6925996
Abstract: A bowstring release aid has a string loop. The release aid is mounted on a bowstring and drawn to an arrow release position by a hand-held string release device. The hand-held release device releases the string loop so that both the bowstring with the release aid propels the arrow.

  • Patent number: 5657741
Abstract: A quick-release coupling for connecting a stabilizer to an archery bow. The coupling has a sleeve that is moveable linearly away from the bow in order to separate the two halves of the coupling, one of which is connected to the bow and the other connected to the stabilizer.

  • Patent number: 5566664
Abstract: A bow string release includes a trigger-operated mechanism for controlling the motion of a pair of rollers between a string-retaining position and a string-release position. The bowstring is retained in a taut condition in a slot in the body of the release. The rollers are axle-less so that they can slide from the string-retaining position, engaging one another, toward a release position as the taut bow string urges the rollers apart to pass between them.

  • Patent number: 5546924
Abstract: A bow string release device for providing a low friction, accurate, short release motion for releasing a bow string of an archery bow so that premature releasing of the bow string is prohibited, regardless of the force applied by the bow string. The bow string release device provides a pair of opposed carriers that rotatably support a pair of opposed rollers. The carriers are pivotally connected to a support body for pivotally moving between a closed position, where the rollers are held in contact to retain the bow string, and an open position, where the bow string is allowed to pass between the rollers. The rollers provide a linear contact surface with the bow string so that the bow string does not unduly wear. A linkage assembly provides two linkage members that are pivotally connected to the carriers. A trigger provides a roller that rollingly engages the linkage assembly for moving the carriers between the closed position and the open position.

  • Patent number: 5365911
Abstract: A bow string release device includes a trigger-operated lever for moving a sleeve holding mechanism away from a position obstructing the movement of two opposed string-retention elements. An adjustable abutment structure controls the starting position of the lever and the travel that takes place prior to the string-release action. The release device includes an elongated one piece bow string-engagement member that can be readily assembled with other components of the device in a relatively short time and at a relatively low cost. A swivel connection is provided between the string release device and a wrist strap anchorage member. The swivel connection includes a socket having a partially spherical shape, and a rotor having a semi-spherical configuration. The swivel connection has a relatively short length to minimize the overall size of the release device and strap connection.

  • Patent number: 5247921
Abstract: A bowstring release device includes a support body that can be grasped by an archer when pulling the bowstring back to the arrow-launch position. Two carrier members are pivotably mounted in the support body to rotatably support two opposed rollers at the front end of the support body. The bowstring is normally held in its stressed position by the two rollers. A manual controller is operated to pivot the carrier members apart, such that the rollers separate to permit the bowstring to pass between the rollers.

  • Patent number: 4860720
Abstract: A hand held, trigger-actuated bow string release device has an elongate transversely flexible hand grip member coupled to and extending rearwardly from the rearward end of the body of the device. The hand grip member is coupled at its rearward end to a plate-like abutment member transverse to the longitudinal extent of the grip member so that when the grip member is gripped within a user's hand, the abutment member seats against the outer edge of the hand to prevent the grip member from being pulled forwardly from the hand as the grip member is longitudinally tensioned during drawing of the bow. The rearward end of the body is inclined with respect to the forward end of the body to provide ease of access to the trigger during use of the device.

  • Patent number: 4403594
Abstract: A release device for pulling the midsection of a bow string, the device having a slot for receiving the bow string, and a pair of balls that engage one another to close the slot to retain the bow string until such time as the user manipulates a trigger to permit separation of the balls and release the bow string.

  • Patent number: RE34126
Abstract: A release device for pulling the midsection of a bow string, the device having a slot for receiving the bow string, and a pair of balls that engage one another to close the slot to retain the box string until such time as the user manipulates a trigger to permit separation of the balls and release the bow string.
