Publication number: 20200370371Abstract: A ladder is provided having a base section and a fly section slidably coupled with the base section. The base section includes a first pair of spaced apart rails and a first plurality of rungs extending between and coupled to the first pair of spaced apart rails. The fly section includes a second pair of spaced apart rails and a second plurality of rungs extending between and coupled to the second pair of spaced apart rails. The various rungs may be coupled with their associated rails in an offset relationship such that they are not centered along a longitudinal center axis line of the rails. A rung lock device may be used which includes an arm pivotally coupled with the base section and configured to selectively engage various rungs of the second plurality of rungs to maintain the fly section in a desired position relative to the base section.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 11, 2020Publication date: November 26, 2020Applicant: WING ENTERPRISES, INCORPORATEDInventors: Jay Ballard, Christian Smith, Gary Jonas, Sean Peterson, Brian Russell

Patent number: 10760338Abstract: A ladder is provided comprising a first pair of spaced apart rails and a plurality of rungs extending between and coupled to the first pair of spaced apart rails. A pair of hooks are located such that each hook is positioned adjacent and upper end of an associated rail. A securing apparatus is coupled adjacent the upper end of the first pair of spaced apart rails. The securing apparatus includes a pair of spaced apart engaging members and may include a cross-member coupled therebetween. Each of the engagement members is pivotal with respect to an associated rail of the first pair of spaced apart rails. In one embodiment, the securing apparatus lacks any biasing members (e.g., springs or actuators) or locking members. The engagement members and hooks cooperatively encircle and overhead, generally horizontal support member to support and secure the ladder in a desired position.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2016Date of Patent: September 1, 2020Assignee: WING ENTERPRISES, INCORPORATEDInventors: Brian B. Publication number: 20200165868Abstract: Ladders and ladder components are provided including a rung assembly that provides an alert to a user of the ladder that they are standing on a particular rung or step. In one example, the lower most rung or step of a ladder includes a rung assembly having an alert mechanism. The alert mechanism may provide an audible and/or other sensory alert to a user when they step on the rung assembly so that the user recognizes their position relative to the ground or supporting surface. In one embodiment, the rung assembly is configured such that a front edge remains in a constant or fixed position relative to the rails to which it is coupled so that a user can rely on a fixed or constant position of the front edge of the assembly when climbing or descending the ladder.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2019Publication date: May 28, 2020Inventors: Christian Smith, Benjamin Cook, Sean Peterson, Brian Russell, N. Patent number: 9536304Abstract: A computer-implemented method of identifying a pathogen likely causing an increased somatic cell count in a sample of fluid is described. An image of the sample of fluid is received. Pixels in the image are parsed to identify pixels representing somatic cells. The identified pixels are analyzed to determine image parameters. The determined images parameters are compared with different sets of predefined pathogen parameters stored in memory to determine a match. Each of the sets of pathogen parameters represents a different one of a plurality of pathogens. The pathogen likely causing an increased somatic cell count is identified by the set of the pathogen parameters that matches the image parameters. A computer readable medium storing instructions to implement the method and a system configure to implement the method are also described.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2014Date of Patent: January 3, 2017Assignee: Dairy Quality Inc.Inventors: Steven L.
