  • Patent number: 11977726
Abstract: An electronic device with a display, a touch-sensitive surface, and one or more sensors that detect intensities of contacts on the touch-sensitive surface displays, on the display, a user interface. While displaying the user interface, the electronic device detects an input that includes a contact on the touch-sensitive surface. In response to detecting the input while displaying the user interface, and while continuing to detect the input on the touch-sensitive surface: If an intensity of the contact satisfies an activation intensity threshold, the electronic device performs a first operation associated with the activation intensity threshold. The activation intensity threshold is determined based on whether or not prior inputs by the user on the touch-sensitive surface exceed a respective intensity threshold. If an intensity of the contact does not satisfy an activation intensity threshold, the electronic device forgoes performing the first operation associated with the activation intensity threshold.

  • Patent number: 5475911
Abstract: A method and apparatus capable of forming a dual tube conduit having a predetermined outer tube dimension, a predetermined inner tube dimension, and a predetermined gap between the tubes. A dual tube workpiece may be initially bent in one or more zones to a desired nonlinear configuration, the inner and outer tubes are hydroform expanded simultaneously to obtain the selected inner tube dimension, and the outer tube is then hydroform expanded to the desired outer tube dimension and to the desired gap therebetween, while the inner tube is held constant.

  • Patent number: 5228726
Abstract: An engine exhaust conduit sealed joint having controlled axial expansion between two telescopically interfitted ducts with a slide seal therebetween, and the ducts held by first and second clamp connectors, one of the ducts having an annular shoulder and one of the clamp connectors being hat-shaped to extend axially on both sides of this shoulder with an annular stop surface to engage the annular shoulder. The seal has an arcuate cross section in engagement with the outer periphery of the one duct, and having a pair of opposite, annular, diagonal surfaces, one of which is engaged by the one clamp connector and the other of which is engaged by a flared end of the other duct which in turn is engaged by the other clamp connector.

  • Patent number: 5100315
Abstract: A pocket wheel furnace having a furnace housing provided with a heat source in the side walls to project heat upon the components requiring heat treatment. The components are loaded into the pockets on the wheel at a first station and travel through the projected heat for the time needed to reach the heat treatment temperature before reaching a discharge station where the components are moved to a quench station. The travel time in the furnace is predetermined and is substantially equivalent for all components in a batch thereof.

  • Patent number: 4928459
Abstract: An air system for a cotton harvester having a harvester mechanism including a doffer assembly which forcibly directs doffed cotton toward a discharge compartment arranged on the cotton harvester. The air system of the present invention provides an elongated member which directs a stream of air rearwardly from the doffer assembly in a manner inhibiting doffed cotton from repeating around the doffer assembly. The air system of the present invention further contemplates directing a column of air downwardly behind the doffer assembly to positively evacuate an upper end of the discharge compartment and inhibit rebounding cotton from repeating around the doffer assembly. The air system of the present invention is especially useful for handling of harvested cotton in damp or high yield cotton conditions.

  • Patent number: 4744207
Abstract: In a self-propelled cotton harvester, a microprocessor circuit associated with the cotton compactor for automatically controlling the operating cycles of the compactor. A digital counter-type transducer is associated with the transmission gear or drive wheel and counts the number of revolutions of that member. Once the operator has entered in the microprocessor memory the starting time of the compactor operation in relation to the number of revolutions of the drive gear or wheel, each cotton picking cycle thereafter proceeds automatically without intervention by the operator, so that operation of the compactor begins at substantially the same point in each cotton load.
