  • Publication number: 20240126038
Abstract: A panel system includes a chassis holding one or more tray arrangements, which are each configured to receive one or more cassettes at two or more bays. The tray arrangements and cassettes cooperate to define a cassette sensor arrangement and a port occupancy sensor arrangement having separate interface points. The cassette sensor arrangement may include electronic memory storing physical layer information about the cassette. All active components of the port occupancy sensor arrangement are disposed on the tray while the electronic memories of the cassette sensor arrangement are stored on the cassettes.

  • Publication number: 20240078136
Abstract: A system and method are provided for operating a pool of workers within a distributed computing system, wherein each of multiple computers host one or more workers. Each computer also hosts ledgers for one or more originators of tasks that are submitted to the pool for processing. A ledger identifies tasks from the corresponding originator that have been submitted to the pool and that have not yet been completed. When an originator submits a new task, the system (e.g., a coordinator) identifies a maximum number of concurrent tasks permitted the originator and determines, with reference to the originator's ledger, whether the task can be submitted to the pool without exceeding the limit. If so, the task is assigned to an idle worker (if any) and is added to the originator's ledger. After completion, the task is removed from the ledger. Obsolete or stale entries are periodically purged from originators' ledgers.

  • Publication number: 20230154080
Abstract: A non-linear dynamic process such as multiphase flow is characterized to determine a condition of the process. A sensor may obtain information about strain, vibration, flow rate, etc. during the process. That sensor data may be plotted, and at least one perceptual hash can be generated from the plot. The perceptual hash can be compared against a database storing plots or hashes for non-linear dynamic responses for different sensor types or processes. A best fit hash may be identified and used to determine what conditions are occurring in the field, or multiple near fits can define an envelope of experimental/reference conditions with similar non-linear dynamics to the field system. Multiple hash comparisons may be used to refine the envelope, determine a best fit, or determine what measurement would help discriminate the flow conditions.

  • Publication number: 20220228934
Abstract: Torque sensing devices, systems, and methods are capable of measuring and/or determining a torque being transmitted through a shaft by measuring the torsional deformation of the shaft over a short length thereof. Such devices, systems, and devices have a sensor positioned adjacent to the outer surface of the shaft as it rotates, the sensor being positioned to maintain a substantially constant distance between the sensor and the outer surface of the shaft. The sensors may be variable reluctance (VR) sensors rigidly attached to a frame mounted on a bearing (e.g., a hanger bearing), which is mounted on the shaft, such that relative radial motion between the shaft and the VR sensor is minimized (e.g., so that they move in unison). Reducing this amount of motion results in a more accurate torque measurement.

  • Publication number: 20220066235
Abstract: The present design includes eyewear including an eyewear chassis comprising two openings and receiving elements formed in the eyewear chassis, the receiving elements firmly and securely receiving a rotatable element connectable to a facia plate maintaining a removable pair of lenses. In some embodiments, rotating the removable pair of lenses from a fully closed position away from the eyewear chassis causes the facia plate to receive upward force to raise the removable pair of lenses to a fully open position, and from the fully open position toward the eyewear chassis causes the facia plate to receive downward force to lower the removable pair of lenses to the fully closed position. One lens of the removable pair of lenses in an embodiment fits within at least one milled recessed inner edge formed within one of the two openings when the removable pair of lenses is in the fully closed position.
