    Abstract: A removable cap for an associated battery compartment housing at least one battery, whereby battery compartment forms a portion of a night vision device which is powered by the battery. The cap includes a one-piece contact that can be attached to the cap in a single operation. The contact includes a unitarily formed leaf-spring which makes mechanical and electrical contact with the battery when the cap is installed on the battery compartment.
