  • Publication number: 20060002886
Abstract: Disclosed is a composition of matter that features a liquid biocatalyst to stimulate biological activity. The composition is both environmentally and physically safe. The biological simulators in the inventive biocatalyst increase the metabolic and reproductive rates of most bacteria. Its introduction into a waste water treatment system non-selectively enhances aerobic biological activity, thereby improving both carbonaceous and nitrogenous removals. The product is especially effective for endogenous situations. The non-selective nature of the product enhances most biological activity, thus allowing for overall performance improvements within a treatment plant. The inventive composition of matter is made by the blending of Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed extract, Liquid Coconut Oil Soap, Vitamin Mixture, and De-ionized water. Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed is preferably extracted from freshly harvested ascophyllum nodosum seaweed.

  • Publication number: 20050242962
Abstract: A tag device includes a strap having a first end and a second end and configured to encircle a member to which the tag device is to be secured, the first end being configured to be attached to the second end of the strap, with the strap encircling a member to which the tag device is to be secured; and circuitry supported by the strap and useful for determining if the strap has been removed from the member after the first end has been attached to the second end. Other apparatus and a method of manufacturing a tag device are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050170520
Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for gas sampling from a harsh environment which comprises a chemically resistant plastic housing suitable for suspension in a confined spacial environment. The housing has apertures for inlet and outlet tubes by which sampled air is drawn into and then discharged from the housing. Included are two three way valves to control selective fluid communication with the environment, a gas sensor, a filter selectively remove contamination from the housing and prevent saturation of the gas sensor, a pump disposed within the housing to effect selective fluid flow through the gas sensor and filter, and a power source that is preferably batteries. The apparatus electronics are all integrated into an electronics module configured so as to communicate with an external readout in a remote location via several methods.

  • Publication number: 20030168106
Abstract: The invention is a gravity fed dispensing apparatus for waste water treatment biocatalyst. It uses a microprocessor to control an electromechanical solenoid value in order to dispense predefined amounts of liquid. It preferably comprises six major components. They are: 1) a printed circuit board, 2) a battery, 3) a solenoid valve, 4) a body having a base and a housing, 5) a reservoir, and 6) a hanger. The unit has the smallest footprint available for dispensing biocatalyst or other vital products into a waste water treatment system.

  • Publication number: 20020021034
Abstract: An ergonomic cushion apparatus includes an upper body cushion portion which includes a neck-cushion-reception channel and first upper cushion attachment straps. A flexible hinge is connected to the upper body cushion portion. A lower body cushion portion is connected to the flexible hinge. The lower body cushion portion includes first lower cushion attachment straps and includes attachment means for a lumbar cushion and a lumbar cushion attached thereto. Also, second upper cushion attachment straps are connected to the upper body cushion portion, and second lower cushion attachment straps are connected to the lower body cushion portion. A neck cushion is received in the neck-cushion-reception channel. A recliner chair frame assembly is provided for supporting the ergonomic cushion apparatus. The upper body cushion portion includes a pair of inwardly directed concave arm-reception regions located along opposite edges of the upper body cushion portion.

  • Patent number: 6194097
Abstract: A removable cap for an associated battery compartment housing at least one battery, whereby battery compartment forms a portion of a night vision device which is powered by the battery. The cap includes a one-piece contact that can be attached to the cap in a single operation. The contact includes a unitarily formed leaf-spring which makes mechanical and electrical contact with the battery when the cap is installed on the battery compartment.
