Abstract: Embodiments can include use of at least one additive to process or condition drill cuttings. The drill cuttings may be further used as a product, a component of a product, and/or in another process. For example, the drill cuttings may be used as aggregate for roadway material (e.g., asphalt stabilized material, asphalt cement concrete, etc.). The conditioning can include modifying a mechanical property of the roadway material, modifying the ability to encapsulate toxins within the asphalt so as to prevent or inhibit leaching of toxins, modifying the ability to absorb volatile hydrocarbon fractions to as to improve stability of the roadway material, etc.
