  • Publication number: 20220040629
Abstract: Processes for the treatment of waste streams from the hydroconversion of heavy hydrocarbons containing additives and catalysts are described. At least one of the SHC pitch stream, SDA pitch stream, and the heavy residue stream is sent to a thermal oxidation system. The metals in the SHC and SDA pitch streams and the heavy residue stream are oxidized and can be easily recovered as clean powdered metal oxides which can be reused or sold. The processes produce chemicals which can be recovered and sold.

  • Patent number: 7686941
Abstract: A process for simultaneously hydrocracking multiple feedstocks wherein a first feedstock is hydrotreated in a hydrotreating zone to produce a hydrotreating zone effluent which is separated to provide a first vaporous hydrocarbonaceous stream and a first liquid hydrocarbonaceous stream. The second feedstock and the first vaporous hydrocarbonaceous stream are hydroprocessed in a hydroprocessing zone to produce a hydroprocessing zone effluent. A third feedstock and the first liquid hydrocarbonaceous stream are hydrocracked in a hydrocracking zone to produce a hydrocracking zone effluent. The hydrocracking zone effluent and the hydroprocessing zone effluent are separated to recover hydrocracked hydrocarbons.

  • Patent number: 6793804
Abstract: An integrated hydrotreating process which produces a high quality feed for the FCC to maintain sulfur in FCC gasoline to a level lower than 30 ppm from a high boiling feedstock and an ultra low sulfur diesel stream preferably less than 10 ppm from a cracked diesel boiling material. The high boiling feedstock is firstly hydrotreated to reduce the concentration of heterogeneous compounds which produces lower boiling hydrocarbonaceous compounds boiling in the diesel range and the resulting hydrotreated high boiling feedstock is separated in a high pressure stripper. The resulting hydrocarbonaceous compounds boiling in the diesel range together with other cracked and/or straight run material in the diesel boiling range are further hydrotreated in an integrated second hydrotreating zone to meet ultra low sulfur diesel specifications and a high cetane index.
