Abstract: The disclosure includes a drum tuning stabilization system. Some embodiments include a lug housing and a tension rod that extends outwardly from the lug housing. The system can include a locking tube slideably coupled to the tension rod. The system can also include a lever arm rotatably coupled to the locking tube. The lever arm can be arranged and configured to move between a first position and a second position. When the lever arm is in the first position, the locking tube is in a raised position, and when the lever arm is in the second position, the locking tube is in a lowered position. As such, the tension rod can provide downward pressure to a top surface of a swivel hoop, and the locking tube can provide upward pressure to a bottom surface of the swivel hoop to thereby keep a drum in tune.

Abstract: An adjustable length acoustic drum hardware tension rod with a threaded proximal portion and a plurality of threaded distal portions, each of the distal portions separated from an adjoining portion by a “V” type groove or scorings cut into the tension rod at intervals along its length. The grooves provide points of weakness where the rod may be accurately broken and snapped off so as to enable a user to select any of a number of variable lengths appropriate for a specified function. The V-shaped grooves disrupt but do not displace continuous threads so as to enable the rod to be broken off without damaging the threads on the rod. The remaining rod can be used as a threaded male element for a threaded female mounting lug.

Abstract: A drum tuning stabilizer including a threaded lug screw shaft which can be rotated along its axis to adjust the tension on a drum head by changing the position of a drum hoop relative to the shell. At least one of a lug casing of the drum shell and a rim portion of the drum hoop has a threaded hole configured to receive the threaded lug screw shaft for rotation. A lug screw lock is threaded on the lug screw shaft adjacent the threaded hole of the lug casing and the rim portion of the drum hoop and can be rotated to tighten the lug screw lock against a surface adjacent to the threaded hole of the lug casing and the rim portion of the drum hoop to provide an interference fit to lock the threaded lug screw shaft to the surface adjacent the lug casing and the rim portion of the drum hoop having the threaded hole therein.

The shake tapers from the butt end to the upper edge. The exposure portion of the shake includes at least one cavity which functions as an insulative chamber and may be filled with insulative material.
