  • Publication number: 20120017736
Abstract: A power saw includes a table configured to receive a workpiece, a saw blade and motor assembly having a motor for rotating a saw blade, and a power cord connected to the motor for supplying electric power to the motor. A linear guide mechanism is operatively connected to the table and is configured to pivotally support the saw blade and motor assembly. The linear guide mechanism enables movement of the saw blade and motor assembly along a predetermined linear path in a forward or a rearward direction, and includes at least two links connected by a hinge connection. A cord clip is rotatably fixed to the hinge connection and configured to receive a section of the power cord.

  • Patent number: 8047553
Abstract: A collapsible folding stand for use with a horizontally oriented object such as a portable table saw that is attached to the stand is capable of being manipulated between open and closed positions. In the open position, the top frame is horizontally oriented. In the closed position, the stand is generally vertically oriented. To move the rolling stand from its open position to its closed position, the user needs only to lift the handle and the top frame will then move to its generally vertical closed position where the latching mechanism can then be engaged. The stand has an integrated support leg that can be selectively positioned and locked to provide increased stability for the stand. The support leg has a locking mechanism, which is operated by a single locking lever and can be adjusted to compensate for wear or degree of force needed to lock the mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7926523
Abstract: A tool support structure with an adjustable work support assembly comprises a base and a horizontal support provided on the top of the base. A work support assembly is provided on the horizontal support and is linearly slideable in a vertical direction in relation to the horizontal support. The work support assembly includes a first component and a second component. The first component is configured to be fixed in one of a plurality of first vertical positions with respect to the horizontal support. The second component is also provided on the horizontal support and is linearly slideable in a vertical direction in relation to the first component. The second component is configured to be fixed in one of a plurality of second vertical positions with respect to the first component.

  • Publication number: 20090289429
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a collapsible folding stand for use with a horizontally oriented object such as a portable table saw that is attached to the stand wherein the stand has a front and a rear portion and is capable of being manipulated between open and closed positions. In the open position, the top frame is horizontally oriented. In the closed position, the stand is generally vertically oriented as is the top frame. To move the rolling stand from its open position to its closed position, the user needs only to lift the handle and the top frame will then move to its generally vertical closed position where the latching mechanism can then be engaged. Because of the mechanism advantage of the folding mechanism, moving between the open and closed positions in either direction requires very little effort by the user. The preferred embodiment has an integrated support leg that can be selectively positioned and locked to provide increased stability and rigidity for the stand.

  • Publication number: 20090007987
Abstract: A tool mount assembly adapted to be attached to a support structure includes a body and a clamping mechanism configured to secure the body to the support structure. The assembly further includes a first member defining a first internally threaded passage, the first member being movable in relation to the body along a linear path of movement. The assembly also includes a second member defining a second internally threaded passage, the second member being pivotably secured to the body. The body has a first slot defined therein, and the first internally threaded passage is continuously aligned with the first slot during movement of the first member in the linear path of movement. In addition, the body has a second slot defined therein, and the second internally threaded passage is continuously aligned with the second slot during movement of the second member in an arcuate path of movement.

  • Patent number: 7467724
Abstract: A locking arrangement for securing a bearing assembly to a male connection member of an articulated coupling apparatus includes an aperture having an outwardly extending beveled portion formed at each end thereof. A race assembly of the bearing assembly has a beveled portion abuttingly engaging a first beveled portion of the aperture and has an inwardly extending recessed portion and a ledge portion disposed adjacent the second beveled portion. The ledge portion at least partially closes the recessed portion and has an inner surface extending from the recessed portion towards the aperture at a predetermined angle. A locking member is disposed in a groove formed by such second beveled portion, the recessed portion and the inner surface of the ledge portion for securing the race assembly within the aperture in combination with the opposed beveled portion formed in the race assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050040575
Abstract: An air spring actuated brake assembly for a railway vehicle braking system is provided which comprises an air spring disposed between a mounting member for attachment to the rigid structure of the braking system and a push rod attached thereto for longitudinal movement in an outward direction upon actuation thereof to initiate a braking sequence of the railway vehicle braking system. The air spring actuated brake assembly of the present invention allows for improved control of the brake shoe forces including visual travel measurement indication which is especially desirable during light load conditions. Additionally the air spring actuated brake assembly of the invention allows for the visual inspection and simple replacement of an inflatable spring should an air leak in the actuator occur. Currently used brake assemblies employing cylinder type actuators may be retrofitted with the air spring actuator of the invention.
