The cover assembly is mounted flush on the raceway to avoid restriction of the channels formed in the raceway. The base can be used alone or can be assembled in a ganged relation with an identical base. A cover having an access opening is coupled to the base to enclose the base and the electrical data, telecommunications device. Abstract: A shelf apparatus, adaptable for supporting a computer keyboard, which is retractable into a storage compartment and can swivel and move in direction transverse to the direction of retraction, such that the orientation and position of the shelf can be changed freely when the shelf is extended out from the storage compartment. The shelf apparatus includes a shelf that is pivotally coupled to a support shelf that is retractable into the storage compartment. Alternatively, the shelf apparatus can include a shelf that is pivotally coupled to extensions which are pivotally coupled to each other and to a support inside the storage compartment. A clamp or cover is further provided which secures to the apparatus the cable which couples the computer keyboard to the computer.
