    Abstract: A retractable sun screen, for a vehicle windshield, includes a flexible sheet normally rolled up into a helical configuration on a roller located within a tubular housing. The flexible sheet can be unwound from the roller to extend along the windshield, thereby shielding the vehicle interior surfaces from solar rays (and keeping the inside of vehicle cooler). While the vehicle is being driven the flexible sheet is retracted into the tubular housing.
