Abstract: Hand tools having a hand guard for protecting a user's working hand are provided. In one embodiment, the hand tool may be a paint roller that includes a roller assembly having a proximal end and an opposite distal end, and a hand guard attached to the roller assembly. The roller assembly may include a handle portion extending from the proximal end of the roller assembly, and a support portion extending from the distal end of the roller assembly to the handle portion. The support portion may include a support arm assembly attached to the handle portion and a cover support positioned at the distal end of the roller assembly and rotatably attached to the support arm assembly. The hand guard may be positioned over a top surface of the handle portion and may include a plurality of walls defining an interior space configured to receive a user's hand therein.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a belt buckle caddy which stores a set of telescopic pens or pencils which include blinking light reminders when in use to remind the user to place the pens or pencils back in the caddy after use. The caddy also includes a front interchangeable ornament lighted by a glowing or blinking light useful as a safety feature during night walks and to match the users attire. Left and right grooves on the front of the buckle caddy serve to guide the ornament onto the front of the caddy and tubes extending from a top opening on the caddy serve to store the pens or pencils when not in use. Two small holes are formed through the caddy to facilitate holding fixed ornaments or LED electrical contacts which are connected to lithium batteries located on the rear of the caddy.

Abstract: A millennium object that embodies the nature of a “millennium”: the simultaneous ability to look forwards to a new era and backwards to the past. The object has two eyelike objects (“oculi”), each with two opposing “eyes” that see in two directions simultaneously. The oculi are attached to items such as desk accessories (letter holders, pen holders, calendars, etc.), jewelry (tie tacks, pins, earrings, pendants, etc.), accessories (key holders, belt buckles), clothing (caps, visors, T-shirts), dolls or figurines, or indeed any other desired item for commemorating the millennium. The oculi may be stationary or movable, of any desired color or shape. In one embodiment of the invention, a signal generator emits a perceptible signal whenever the oculi move.

Abstract: An athletic shoe exerciser having means for roller assisted human locomotion. The exerciser includes means for retaining the rollers when not in use inside the lower portion of the exerciser. The exerciser also includes removable soles for various athletic applications.
