  • Patent number: 5129731
Abstract: A device for monitoring temperature conditions in a frozen food storage space includes a rear panel and a parallel transparent plastic front wall having a peripheral skirt wall sealed to the panel front face. Laterally spaced projections intermediate the front wall top and bottom extend from the front toward the rear wall to delineate top and bottom cavity sections, one of which contains colored water. A suction cup is located on the panel rear face and indicia are formed on the panel front face registering with each cavity section. The device is located in the storage space until the water in the lower cavity section is frozen solid and is then inverted. The presence of water in the bottom cavity of the inverted device indicates the occurrence of a thawing condition in the storage space at the same time.

  • Patent number: 4189880
Abstract: The within improvements are applicable for window construction kits of the type used for providing storm, screen, sun-block, and/or tinted window coverings wherein, as understood, an appropriate film, such as plastic or the like, is attached by a so-called spline about its peripheral edges within a supporting frame. Among other improvements, the disclosure contemplates an optimum T-shape in the spline which provides an attached, conveniently gripped flat surface to the spline to facilitate its film-stretching entrance into said frame, to more readily place the spline into and remove it from its attached connection to said frame, as well as contributing to an enhanced appearance in the window and providing a dust cover thereto. The within disclosure also contemplates an adhesive system to facilitate attachment of the frame to a variety of surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4077562
Abstract: A tie strip is formed of a flexible resilient material in strip form, with regularly longitudinally spaced openings formed in the strip and a pair of oppositely directed pawl acting tongues projecting from opposite end edges of each opening toward each other. The strip, in application, is folded at its end about its medial axis and inserted in a selected opening and it is movable through the opening in only one direction when inclined to the strip at the engaging opening in such direction and is movable in the opposite direction upon reversal of the inclination, the opposite tongues functioning as opposing pawls.Another embodiment has a series of longitudinally spaced openings formed in the strip with a tongue projecting from one edge of each opening facing an enlarged one end of the strip. The one end of the strip has an opening therein with inwardly directed sides having a pair of tongues projecting from opposite end edges of the opening towards each other.

  • Patent number: 4057867
Abstract: A pocket hair brush having a self-contained cover in an integral unit formed of a thermoplastic polymeric resin and includes a backing plate flexible rectangular panel having integrally formed bristles projecting from a face thereof. Rectangular side panels are joined to the backing plate by self-hinges and rectangular wing panels are joined to the side panel outer side edges and form dihedral angles therewith. A short notch is medially formed along the junction between one of the side and wing panels and extensions with enlarged ends are medially formed at opposite sides of the other wing panel. The side and wing panels are swingable between a closed position covering the bristles and releasably locked by coupling of one extension and the slot and an open rearwardly directed handle defining position with the other extension engaging the slot.

  • Patent number: 3955790
Abstract: A wall hanger device includes a wall mountable first member having a pair of laterally spaced forwardly projecting support arms terminating in upwardly directed fingers and a forwardly directed intermediate bearing arm. A plumb defining elongated plate has a longitudinal opening in its upper part provided at its top with a depending fulcrum which separably rests on the bearing arm. Vertical lines are medially formed on the plumb and mounting plate and are in vertical longitudinal alignment when the support arms are at the same level. A bracket is mounted on a picture frame and includes a pair of laterally spaced, apertured arms for engaging the support arm fingers.

  • Patent number: 3955245
Abstract: An elongated separable fastener includes two similar sections formed of a resilient resin, each section including a longitudinally extending socket with a restricted throat and an elongated plug with an enlarged head which releasably engages the socket of the other section. Mating transverse recesses and projections are provided in the fastener sections to restrict their relative longitudinal displacement. In one form, each section includes a base web and a pair of transversely spaced longitudinal vertical plugs and longitudinally spaced projections projecting medially from the web, the space between one of the plugs and the projections defining a socket, and in another form, each section is U-shaped with enlarged heads on the side legs, longitudinally spaced transverse ribs being positioned at the base of the socket between the legs and the legs having longitudinally spaced transverse grooves.
