Publication number: 20230306502Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and related system for generating a presentation of a plurality of sequential historical events stored in a service provider system. The method accesses a first historical event from a plurality of historical events associated with a user and stored in a memory of the service provider system. The method further includes locating a first presentation element template associated with the first historical event from a plurality of presentation element templates stored in the memory. The first presentation element template is copied into a first presentation element of a presentation, and data from the first historical event is copied into the first presentation element of the presentation. The method further comprises determining the first historical event as being a negative historical event according to a predefined criteria. The method further comprises transmitting the presentation to a user display device.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2018Publication date: September 28, 2023Inventors: Gene C. Patent number: 11659087Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for detecting potentially fraudulent voice calls to a financial services institution. A computing system may receive an indication of a voice call placed by a voice caller to an operator. The computing system may generate a network address indicator describing a network location. The network address indicator may be provided to the voice caller. The computing system may receive an indication of a financial services account indicated by the voice caller. The computing system may also receive an indication of an access to the network location by a remote device. The computing system may determine, using the indication of the access to the network location, a first location associated with the remote device and determine that the first location does not match a second location associated with the financial services account. The computing system may generate an alert indicating that the voice call is potentially fraudulent.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2020Date of Patent: May 23, 2023Assignee: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: John Talbert Jackson, Gene C. Baker, Jr., Jon T. Graff, Chad Otto Breunig, Kevin W. Bell, Darrell Lee Suen

Patent number: 11601914Abstract: A method may include receiving an indication that an electronic alert is to be transmitted to a user; obtaining contextual information associated with the user; determining a first time for presenting the electronic alert to the user based in part on the contextual information; transmitting the electronic alert to a computing device associated with the user at the first time; storing the electronic alert in a message feed data structure; receiving a request to view the electronic alert at a second time, the second time occurring after the first time; in response to the request, retrieving the electronic alert from the message feed data structure; and transmitting the electronic alert at the second time.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2021Date of Patent: March 7, 2023Assignee: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: Gene C. Patent number: 11416939Abstract: A computer-implemented method, device, and system for communicating an impact of a financial decision or an investment strategy to a user through the use of virtual reality are provided. Providing a context for figuratively ‘seeing and feeling’ the results for a proposed financial strategy may assist the user in better understanding the impact of the financial strategy. Information provided in this context may educate the user with regards to the amount of income or savings required to achieve a goal over a time period. A goal for a user may be displayed as an image in a virtual reality scene based on gathered user information. The image representing the goal may be displayed according to a percent of clarity based on the financial amount needed to achieve the goal. The image may be changed based on the amount over a perceived virtual reality time period.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2021Date of Patent: August 16, 2022Assignee: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: Kav Khurana, Christopher Nicholas Mair, Claes Dahlstrand, Lakshmi Kantamneni, James E. Publication number: 20220084120Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method for use in generating retirement income from selling a non-monetary digital asset affiliated with a user are provided. Information about a user may be gathered by a processor in a computing device. A non-monetary digital asset associated with the user may be determined based on the user information. A market price for the non-monetary digital asset may be determined from a plurality of data sources. A buyer for the non-monetary digital asset may be identified. The non-monetary digital asset may then be sold to the buyer at the market value price. The proceeds from selling the non-monetary digital asset may be placed into a retirement account associated with the user. The non-monetary digital asset may be automatically sold at the market value price prior to an expiration date.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2016Publication date: March 17, 2022Inventors: Kav Khurana, Christopher Nicholas Mair, Claes Dahlstrand, Lakshmi Kantamneni, James E.
