  • Publication number: 20090114689
Abstract: A removable storage tube for a marine vessel includes a hatch frame shaped to fitted in a hatch opening in a marine vessel. The hatch frame has a plurality of spaced downwardly angled notches spaced around the interior edge of the frame. A tub has an open top and a rim portion around the open top and is shaped to fit into the hatch frame. The tub has a plurality of attachment lugs on the rim portion, each lug has a pair of downwardly converging exterior sides sized to wedge into one of the hatch frame notches. Each hatch frame notch has a pair of downwardly converging interior sides, each having an outwardly angled exterior edge while each tub lug has a pair downwardly converging exterior sides each having an outwardly angled exterior edge sized to wedge into a hatch frame notch so that a hatch tub is removably mounted in a marine vessel hatch. The hatch frame has a hatch door hingedly attached thereto for closing the hatch with or without the storage tub therein.

  • Publication number: 20040148995
Abstract: A roll forming machine that can form material with a complex profile, such as a miter or coping, in the ends of the work piece is described. A length sensor provides information to a computer that monitors the amount of material being formed and a machining section is installed before the forming rollers. This allows the invention to cut the desired end profile before the material is roll formed into the final shape. Since the material is flat during the cutting operation, any of the standard cutting techniques known in the art, can be employed, such as shearing, punching or a CNC end mill.

  • Patent number: 6517599
Abstract: A resource regeneration process for creating an organic biomeal nutrient-rich product from raw biosolid waste material is provided. The process comprises initially mixing and conditioning the raw organic biosolid waste material to a substantially uniform size, oxidizing the raw organic biosolid waste material, secondarily mixing the oxidized and transformed organic biosolid waste material, drying the oxidized and regenerated organic biosolid waste material thereby completing the resource regeneration process for creating an organic biomeal nutrient-rich product from raw biosolid waste material wherein the resource regeneration process is completed within a time range of approximately twenty (20) minutes to approximately thirty (30) minutes.

  • Publication number: 20030024384
Abstract: A reciprocating air brake compressor includes a crank case housing a crank shaft and a piston assembly operatively connected to the crank shaft via a connecting rod. The piston assembly includes a piston moveable within a bore of the crank case, a piston ring disposed on a peripheral surface of the piston, and a wrist pin rotatably connecting the connecting rod to the piston. A means is provided for generating an air stream free of oil. In one embodiment, the means includes a channel extending through the crank shaft and connecting rod for delivering oil to the crank shaft and wrist pin bearings. The means further includes first and second sealing assemblies disposed adjacent the crank shaft and wrist pin bearings respectively. In another embodiment, the means includes crank shaft bearings and wrist pin bearings packed and sealed with grease.

  • Publication number: 20020100311
Abstract: An oil in air test apparatus measures the quantity of oil vapor entrained in the air stream from an air compressor used to generate compressed air for a vehicle air brake system. Testing is accomplished while the air compressor is in service and mounted onto the engine of the vehicle. The test apparatus creates back pressure to simulate an operating load on the air compressor, and passes an air stream through a disposable oil in air indicator cartridge to capture oil entrained in the air stream. Visual examination of the indicator cartridge is utilized to determine the operation condition of the air compressor. The test apparatus allows the operator to determine whether or not the quantity of oil vapor carried over in the compressed air is within acceptable warranty tolerances. As a result, unnecessary warranty calls for air compressors which are passing oil within normal tolerances are prevented.

  • Patent number: 6409789
Abstract: A resource transformation and regeneration process for creating beneficial organic nutrient-rich products from raw organic biosolid waste material is provided. The process comprises initially mixing the raw organic biosolid waste material to a substantially uniform size, oxidizing and transforming the raw organic biosolid waste material, secondarily mixing the oxidized and transformed organic biosolid waste material, and drying the oxidized and regenerated organic biomeal material, producing a beneficial nutrient-rich product for plants and animals.

  • Patent number: 6338282
Abstract: The invention provides a liquid sampling device and method using a chamber in which a vacuum is created to draw a liquid sample through a sample intake tube assembly into a sample receptacle placed in the chamber. The vacuum is created by a vacuum pump attached to an entry port in the chamber. The sample intake tube assembly is inserted through a second entry port in the chamber. One end of the sample intake tube assembly is placed in the open sample receptacle located in the chamber, while the other end is placed in the sample site. The independence of the sample intake tube assembly and the vacuum pump stem promotes sample purity. The sample intake tube assembly has a flexible collar which is inserted into and creates a seal with the entry port of the chamber.

  • Patent number: 6113367
Abstract: A cylinder is divided into two chambers by a wall to receive a pair of pistons. This reduces the stroke length and correspondingly reduces the linear speed of the piston. This leads to a reduced PV factor associated with degradation and wear of the piston rings. Moreover, the multi-cylinder arrangement provides the same performance in an oil-free compressor assembly without appreciably expanding dimensional constraints relative to known systems.
