  • Patent number: 6369849
Abstract: A remote inspection device is provided which is ideally suited for law enforcement and firefighting personnel. The remote inspection device includes an elongate housing, camera means and power supply for powering the camera means and video display. The camera means operates in the invisible light spectrum, preferably the infrared (IR) spectrum. The camera means creates an image of an object which is transmitted to the video display for producing a visible light image of the object to be evaluated.

  • Patent number: 5608331
Abstract: A noise measurement test system 10' for making phase noise and amplitude noise measurements of microwave signals derived from a continuous wave RF source. The system 10' comprises an RF input for receiving an applied RF noise signal and an RF coupler 11 coupled to the RF input for splitting the applied RF noise signal into first and second paths 18a, 18b. A mixer 15 that comprises a synchronous phase detector 15 is coupled to receive signals from the first and second paths 18a, 18b, respectively, and which outputs demodulated phase noise. The first path 18a comprises a variable attenuator 14 and a variable phase shifter 13 coupled between the coupler 11 and the first input of the mixer 15 for providing a reference signal input to the synchronous detector 15. The second path 18b comprises a delay line and an adjustable RF carrier nulling circuit 30 coupled between the coupler 11 and the mixer 15.

  • Patent number: 5268688
Abstract: Linear signal reconstruction systems and methods that use mathematical relationships that exist between discrete time signals, digital to analog conversion characteristics and digital signal processing to produce a highly accurate, low noise, arbitrary analog signal from a discrete digital representation. This analog signal is produced by connecting discrete digital voltages through the use of a segmented straight line curve fit. This approach significantly reduces out of band harmonics that are normally associated with the stair-step approach while improving the output signal amplitude and phase accuracy. More specifically, the present system and method provides for reconstructing original analog signals from a digitized representation thereof. Digitized signals corresponding to the original analog signals are differentiated and then D to A converted into differentiated analog signals.
