  • Patent number: 8737826
Abstract: There is provided a smoke generating device for use with a vaporizing material. The smoke generating device includes a housing defining an inner chamber configured to receive the vaporizing material, and a heating element disposed within the housing. A capillary is disposed within the inner chamber and is in thermal communication with the heating element. The capillary includes opposed first and second end portions, with the first end portion being disposable in the vaporizing material and the second end portion defining an opening in fluid communication with the internal chamber. The capillary is configured to convey the vaporizing material to the heating element. An inlet conduit in fluid communication with the inner chamber and fluidly connectable to a pressurized fluid source, and an outlet conduit in fluid communication with the inner chamber and configured to convey vapor from the inner chamber.

  • Publication number: 20100326171
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a leak detection device and method of using the same. The leak detection device of the present invention employs the use of phase change vapor generation to provide a visual leak indicator, and is adapted to quickly and accurately identify the location of leaks in many types of fluid systems. The leak detection device and related leak detection methodology of the present invention can be used to identify leaks in many large systems such as HVAC systems and ductwork, transportation containers, recreational vehicles, clean rooms, and any other large sealed system.

  • Publication number: 20080121283
Abstract: A system for regulating a level of fluid in a vessel is provided that is capable of detecting a pressure of the fluid, and increasing and/or decreasing a flow of fluid to the vessel in relation to the detected pressure. The system can contain a fluid level regulator adapted to pass a fluid therethrough and having a pressure detector, as well as an inlet hose connecting the regulator to a fluid supply and an outlet hose connecting the regulator to the vessel. The system provides a non-intrusive and convenient means of fluid level regulation and maintenance for a variety of different vessel types, including decorative fountains and bird baths, pools and ponds, and water heating and storage tanks, among others.

  • Patent number: 6918191
Abstract: A linear measuring device includes a tape housing and a semi-flexible measuring tape housed within the tape housing in a generally spiral configuration with an outer end extendable through a tape outlet opening. An extendable generally flat rear tail is movably mounted on the tape housing generally opposite the tape outlet opening and a generally flat forward tongue is mounted on and extends forwards from the outer end of the measuring tape. Finally, two sets of measurements are displayed on the measuring tape, the outer measurement set displaying the total extended distance of the measuring tape from the outer end to the tape outlet opening and the inner measurement set displaying the total distance from the outer end of the rear tail to the outer end of the forward tongue such that outer and inner measurements are simultaneously displayed on the measuring tape.
