Abstract: An asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network control apparatus receives data, converts the data into an ATM packet, stores a table of header information for at least one communication network, changes the header of the received ATM packet on the basis of information in the ATM packet header and the stored table, and outputs the modified ATM packet. Units which perform these functions are connected to a general purpose bus line and a high-speed bus line.

Abstract: A light signal receiver comprises a plurality of photo-sensors, a detector for detecting signal levels of light signals sensed by the photo-sensors, a selector for selecting those photo-sensors which result in a proper output signal, and output means for combining the signals sensed by the selected photo-sensors to produce the output signal.

Abstract: A data output apparatus is capable of effecting a rotation of image data output therefrom relative to image data input thereto. This apparatus includes a system for scanning image data to be input thereto on a line by line basis, and a page memory for storing this input data on this basis. A control system converts the data stored in the page memory on a line by line basis to data for storage on a column by column basis. A column memory receives the data arranged on a column by column basis from the control system and an output device connected to the column memory puts out the data therefrom on the column by column basis. More particularly, the memories may comprise a unit matrix group including a plurality of unit matrix memories, all of which are accessible at the same time. An address selecting circuit sequentially selects the unit matrix memories, along one readout direction, to be sequentially read out and digit lines are provided for putting out data from the unit matrix memories.

Abstract: In an input device, a scanning pulse is supplied in time division fashion to a plurality of switching means effecting information input indications. The scanning pulse applied to the driven switching means is detected by a probe to stop the operation of address means which varies its contents in accordance with the scanning pulse. The content of the address means during the stoppage thereof are indicated as input information on the driven switching means.
