  • Patent number: 10437880
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for a feedback loop for enhancing archive validation and retention parameter determination for documents. The system may generate or receive image documents. Utilizing image quality and data storage metrics the system may trigger the purging and/or retention of documents in image and/or paper form. Upon retention, the system may continually monitor the documents and store metadata associated with the use of the retained documents. Once the documents are purged, the system compiles historic data points associated with the image quality and data storage metrics. Furthermore, the system extracts the metadata associated with the monitoring of retained documents. These data points and metadata are reviewed to provide revisions in retention parameters for specific documents. A feedback loop directly communicates and integrates the revisions to the metric and criteria for instant integration.

The system may generate or receive image documents. Utilizing image quality and data storage metrics the system may trigger the purging and/or retention of documents in image and/or paper form. Furthermore, the system may identify a duration of storage, location of storage, and the like. Upon retention, the system may continually monitor the documents and store metadata associated with the use of the retained documents. This monitoring may identify a period for purging the document, efficiently allowing for physical or server space availability.

  • Patent number: 9098765
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products for capturing elements of a negotiable instrument and generating a thumbnail image of the negotiable instrument for use in image recreation. In some embodiments, a method is provided that includes: (a) receiving an image of the negotiable instrument, wherein the image of the negotiable instrument comprises one or more elements that are used for processing the negotiable instrument; (b) capturing, using the image capture device, images of one or more elements of the negotiable instrument; (c) generating a thumbnail image of the negotiable instrument based at least partially on an image of the negotiable instrument; and (d) storing the images of the one or more elements of the negotiable instrument and the thumbnail image of the negotiable instrument in the database.

  • Patent number: 9082007
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for providing recreated image documents using templates or generic control documents. In this way, an entity may store limited amounts of image data from an original document and subsequently recreate the document image using document templates. As such, the invention may compile templates for image documents. Upon receiving a document from a transaction for storage, the system may store the metadata associated with that document, instead of storing the entire document as a high resolution image file. Using the template, in combination with the metadata, the system may recreate the image as a system generated image for user recall and reconciliation.

  • Patent number: 9025851
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for providing recreated image documents using image lift data. In this way, an entity may store limited amounts of image data from an original document and subsequently recreate the document image using image lift data. As such, the invention may receive an image document for storage. Upon receiving a document from a transaction for storage, the system may store metadata associated with that document, instead of storing the entire document as a high resolution image file. Furthermore, the system may determine specific unique elements of the document (such as signatures or the like) to capture as an image file. This allows the unique element to be lifted as image data. Using the lifted image data, in combination with the metadata, the system may recreate the image as a system generated image for user recall and reconciliation.

  • Publication number: 20150046333
Abstract: A duplicate detection system is provided for analyzing and processing documents received at one or more capture sites. A physical document may be electronically captured at a capture site and subsequently transmitted to a regional or central processing system. The regional or central processing system may receive capture documents from multiple capture sites. The processing system may analyze the captured documents to identify and flag false-positives prior to performing duplicate detection. Duplicate detection may be performed in accordance with predefined rules associated with false-positive flags. Once duplicate detection is complete, suspected duplicates may undergo manual review while non-duplicates are released for posting or dispatching.

  • Publication number: 20140236791
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for providing image retrieval based on transaction identification. An exemplary apparatus is configured to: capture an image of a document. The document is typically associated with a transaction ID. Upon capturing the document image the system may process the image of the document to collect document information, and subsequently store the document information. The system may later receive a request for the document information that is similarly associated with the transaction ID. This document information is retrieved based at least partially on the request. An activity log may be additionally created which comprises a record of one or more request associated with the transaction ID.
