  • Publication number: 20150165520
Abstract: A cooling device is provided for cooling a component produced in a lost foam casting method by way of an EPS model. The cooling device has at least one cooling element which can be disposed flat on at least one region of the EPS model. The at least one cooling element can be fixed in a materially bonded and/or non-positive manner to the at least one region of the EPS model. A method for cooling the component produced in the lost foam casting method by way of the EPS model using the cooling element is provided.

  • Patent number: 8541503
Abstract: A polymeric nanoparticle composition is provided. The nanoparticle may be of a core/shell configuration with an interphase region connecting the core and the shell. The mean average diameter of the polymer nanoparticles may be less than about 250 nm. The size, composition, and/or configuration of the interphase region may be varied to achieve desired physical and/or chemical properties of the resulting polymeric nanoparticles, and of the compositions into which the nanoparticles are compounded.

  • Patent number: 4733795
Abstract: The invention concerns a steam pressure cooking pot consisting of a container accommodating the product to be cooked, a cover with safety valve capable of being placed thereupon, a locking means clamping container and cover to one another in the closed condition, and a seal disposed between cover and container securing the inside space of the pot against a drop in pressure in the closed condition, with a sealing lip of the seal pointing radially inwardly lying against the cover or the container which, upon pressing down on the cover in the direction toward the container, lifts off from the sealing emplacement on the cover or on the container, and with the cover or container, upon subsequent movement of the cover into the opening condition, executing a relative movement toward the sealing lip. Disposed radially outside the edge of the sealing lip, between the sealing lip and the cover or the container, is a slide element that acts as a levered support for the lifting movement of the sealing lip.

  • Patent number: 4321088
Abstract: A process for treating pig iron melts and steel melts or alloys in a converter, crucible or other vessel, wherein the entire refining and treatment process is carried out in a vessel with carbon dioxide, continuously and up to the finishing of the steel. Liquid carbon dioxide under a pressure of from 4.0 to 20.0 bar is used for the treatment. From about 50 to 300 kg of CO.sub.2 /tonne of steel are required for the refining of the pig iron melt.
