Abstract: The invention relates to an elastic laminate. The laminate is made from a co-extruded elastic film, comprising an elastomeric support layer, at least one cover layer and at least one textile outer layer made from a non-woven. The cover layer has a low layer thickness by comparison with the support layer. The outer layer is laminated onto the cover layer. According to the invention, the cover layer is made from an elastomeric material, with essentially the same expansion properties as the material of the support layer and contains additives for modification of the surface properties.

  • Publication number: 20060292328
Abstract: An elastic laminate material web has elastic and non-elastic regions and has non-woven fabric on both surfaces of the web. In between the two surfaces, there are film strips of an elastic film. One surface of the web consists of a planar non-woven fabric layer and is connected with non-woven fabric that is disposed on the opposite surface of the web in areas between the film strips. Each film strip is connected with a non-woven fabric layer to form a laminate strip. The laminate strips are glued to the planar non-woven fabric layer on their film side, and the non-woven fabric that is connected with the planar non-woven fabric layer between the laminate strips is in the form of non-woven fabric strips that run parallel to the laminate strips. The non-woven fabric strips overlap the non-woven fabric layer of the laminate strips in edge regions of the laminate strips.

  • Publication number: 20060247567
Abstract: A fastener strip for diapers has a center part that is elastic in the longitudinal direction of the strip when the fastener strip is pulled, a non-elastic end part to which a hook element is attached, and a non-elastic connector part for attachment to a diaper. The end part and the connector part are attached to the center part. The center part has a layer of an elastic spun-bonded non-woven fabric, which possesses preferred stretching properties in the longitudinal direction of the strip. The spun-bonded non-woven fabric is made of filaments that have a filament core of a thermoplastic elastomer and a filament mantle of a non-elastic thermoplastic polymer, stretched by means of stretching the spun-bonded non-woven fabric.

  • Patent number: 7083691
Abstract: A method for the production of an elastic, air-permeable laminate film is disclosed, whereby material webs made of a fiber non-woven fabric are applied to both sides of an elastomer layer, and the multi-layered material subsequently runs through an ultrasound bonding station. The elastomer layer is melted to form point-shaped bonds at discrete locations by means of ultrasound, while maintaining the substance of the fiber non-woven fabric. An air-permeable structure is formed at the melted sites. According to the method, a melt film made of a thermoplastic elastomer is passed to a laminating unit and introduced, in the thermoplasticized state, between two material webs of fiber non-woven fabric that run into the laminating unit. The melted intermediate layer of the multi-layered material is cooled to solidification temperature, whereby a laminate with cover layers made of fiber non-woven fabric is produced. The laminate is subsequently passed to the ultrasound bonding station.

  • Publication number: 20060162843
Abstract: A method for the production of a fleece laminate material that has elastic regions and non-elastic regions. In the method, parallel strips of elastic laminate are laminated in between two webs of nonwoven material, at a distance from one another and the nonwoven webs are directly bonded to one another, in the regions between the strips, and form non-elastic regions. The segments of the fleece laminate material that contain a strip, in each instance, form elastic regions. According to the invention, the elastic laminate has a tacky elastomer core layer and at least one non-blocking outer layer of nonwoven material, applied to the tacky core layer.

  • Patent number: 6974514
Abstract: A method is disclosed for the production of an air-permeable laminate film with a textile surface and elastic and non-elastic regions. At least one film strip that is elastic in the crosswise direction is introduced, as an elastic insert, between two material webs of fiber non-woven fabric having a web width greater than the width of the film strip. The segments of the material webs made of fiber non-woven fabric that are in direct contact next to the insert are connected, forming a non-elastic region of the laminate film. Subsequently, the laminate passes through an ultrasound bonding station, in which the elastic insert is melted by means of point-shaped bonds, while maintaining the substance of the fiber non-woven fabric, thereby connecting the elastic insert with the fiber non-woven fabric cover layers at discrete points and forming air-permeable structures.

  • Publication number: 20050208260
Abstract: A laminate material for hook-and-loop closures, comprising a carrier film and a textile substrate laminated onto the carrier film. The textile substrate has loops on its surface that are suitable for connecting with hook-and-loop hooks, wherein the carrier film and the textile substrate are not connected over their entire area. A method for producing a laminate material for hook-and-loop closures comprises applying an adhesive to a carrier film in a pattern that is composed of adhesive areas and adhesive-free regions, applying a material web of a textile substrate to the side of the carrier film provided with adhesive to form a two-ply web, the textile substrate having loops on its surface that are suitable for connecting with hook-and-loop hooks; and passing the two-ply web through a roller nip of a pair of rollers, which presses the carrier film and the textile substrate together.
