  • Publication number: 20240110937
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for ascertaining data for determining a velocity of a vehicle having a magnet, which is attachable to a wheel and executes a circular movement upon rotation of the wheel. Furthermore, a sensor unit is provided for recording signals due to the circular movement of the magnet. The sensor unit has at least one sensor for measuring a quantitative magnetic field strength change. In this case, the sensor is configured to sample the magnetic field strength change at a sampling frequency of at least 200 Hz. In addition, the invention relates to a method for ascertaining data for determining a velocity of a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240095254
Abstract: Systems and methods include presentation of a subset of a result set of items received from a remote system, reception of a command to perform an operation on all items of the result set while presenting the subset, and determination, in response to the command, of whether a total number of items in the result set exceeds a threshold value. If it is determined that the total number of items in the result set exceeds the threshold value, a first request is transmitted to the remote system to perform the operation on all items of the result set, where the first request includes filter values associated with the result set. If it is determined that the total number of items in the result set does not exceed the threshold value, a second request is transmitted to the remote system to perform the operation on all items of the result set, where the second request includes an identifier of each item of the result set.

  • Patent number: 6788947
Abstract: A first base station, which is coupled to a first switching system part is set up within radio range of a second base station, which is coupled to a second switching system part. After initial synchronization of the first base station to the first switching system part and of the second base station to the second switching system part, the second base station receives radio frames transmitted from the first base station and determines their time error with respect to its own radio frame clock. The determined time error is then transmitted to the second switching system part. In response to this, the second switching system part transmits a synchronization signal to the second base station, with the transmission time being chosen as a function of the transmitted time error such that the radio frame clock of the second base station is synchronized with the radio frames of the first base station by time alignment with the synchronization signal.

  • Patent number: 6199532
Abstract: The invention is directed to a mixture lubricated four-stroke engine having a cylinder and a piston which delimits a combustion chamber in the cylinder. The piston drives a crankshaft via a connecting rod with the crankshaft being journalled in a crankcase. An inlet valve and an outlet valve are provided for the combustion chamber and have respective valve members which are actuated via a valve drive assembly driven by the crankshaft. The inlet valve is connected via an intake channel to a mixture-preparation device. The valve housing is, on the one hand, connected to the crankcase and, on the other hand, is flow connected via a connecting channel to the intake channel. The crankcase is connected to the mixture-preparation device exclusively via the valve housing, the connecting channel and the intake channel. In this way, an adequate lubrication and excellent acceleration performance is ensured with a constructively simple configuration and excellent exhaust-gas quality.

  • Patent number: 6167874
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor-driven chain saw having an internal combustion engine for driving the saw chain of the chain saw. The engine is mounted in the housing of the chain saw and includes a cylinder and a combustion chamber formed in the cylinder. The combustion chamber is delimited by a piston and the piston drives a crankshaft via a connecting rod. The crankshaft is rotatably journalled in a crankcase. An inlet and an outlet are provided for gas exchange in the combustion chamber and the inlet is connected via an intake channel to a mixture preparation device. A stroke/bore ratio of less than 0.8 is used in order to provide an engine of reduced structural elevation which is useable in all positions. The inlet and outlet are controlled via valves having a valve drive charged with the air/fuel lubricating oil mixture supplied via the mixture preparation device.

  • Patent number: 6152098
Abstract: The invention is directed to an internal combustion engine for a portable handheld work apparatus. The engine includes a cylinder having a combustion chamber and a piston rotates a crankshaft via a connecting rod. The crankshaft is mounted in a crankcase and is connected to a cam drive. The cam drive drives a valve control for an inlet valve and an outlet valve. The inlet valve controls an overflow channel which leads from the crankcase to the combustion chamber, and the outlet valve controls an outlet channel branching away from the combustion chamber. Furthermore, an intake channel, which opens into the crankcase, and a housing, which is separate from the crankcase, are provided for the cam drive. In order to provide a lubrication for the cam drive which is independent of position, the cam drive is configured as a gear wheel drive and an oil sump is provided in the housing of the cam drive.

  • Patent number: 6116864
Abstract: A hand-held vacuum/blower device has a housing with an interior and a drive motor arranged in the interior. The drive motor has a drive shaft. A blower spiral is connected to the housing. The blower spiral has a first and a second radial end faces and each one of the radial end faces has at least one air inlet opening. A blower wheel is arranged in the blower spiral and coupled to the drive shaft. A venting wheel is coupled to the drive shaft for conveying cooling air from the exterior of the housing to the drive motor in the interior of the housing. The blower wheel has a hub and a wall connected to the hub and extending to the periphery of the blower wheel. The wall has a first end face facing the first radial end face and a second end face facing the second radial end face. The blower wheel includes first and second vanes wherein the first vanes are connected to the first end face of the wall and the second vanes are connected to the second end face of the wall.

  • Patent number: 6109251
Abstract: The invention relates to a reciprocating piston engine having a piston which moves upwardly and downwardly and which rotatably drives a crankshaft and components connected therewith via a connecting rod. The crankshaft is journalled in the crankcase which has a crankcase venting system to compensate pressure in the interior space of the crankcase. The venting system includes a venting line leading away from the interior space of the crankcase. The venting line is configured as a channel in a rotating component in order to achieve a functionally reliable pressure compensation with high separating action. The channel defines a connection between the interior space of the crankcase and the atmosphere. A valve is mounted in this channel and this valve becomes unblocked under the action of centrifugal force and seals the crankcase with respect to fluids when the engine is at standstill.

  • Patent number: 6000519
Abstract: The invention is directed to a centrifugal clutch having centrifugal weights wherein each weight has an arc-shaped clutch shoe and is pivotally mounted with a lever foot on a carrier disc on the drive end of the clutch. After reaching a specific rpm, the clutch shoes are pressed under the action of centrifugal force against the inner wall surface of a clutch drum for providing friction-tight torque transmission. The clutch drum surrounds the clutch shoes. The centrifugal clutch includes a carrier disc on which the centrifugal weights are pivotally mounted. A cover disc is held axially tight at the sides of the centrifugal weights which lie opposite the carrier disc. This cover disc radially covers the clutch shoes so that axial guide play is provided. In this way, wear of the clutch weights caused by operation is reduced especially in the bearing regions of the centrifugal weights.
