  • Patent number: 7984912
Abstract: A gasket has sealing layer(s) with beads which are assigned to passage opening(s), and stopper layer(s) with a stopper which limits the resilience of the bead(s). The stopper is composed of a plurality of directly successive ridge-shaped elevations and groove-shaped depressions, both being trapezoidal in cross section and both being formed in on both sides of the stopper layer, with setting angles of the trapezium flanks. The trapezoidal elevations of the one side are situated opposite the trapezoidal depressions of the other side. A cross section (Q1) which is delimited by opposing trapezium flanks which are adjacent to one another is the same or greater than a cross section (Q2) which is delimited between the opposing depressions of the two sides.

  • Publication number: 20110001295
Abstract: The invention relates to a metallic flat gasket with at least one metallic gasket layer, which is mainly flat and shows a first and second surface, wherein a plane of the gasket runs centered between said flat areas, wherein a camber is formed within the gasket layer, which protrudes over the first surface of the gasket layer and which has a larger length than width, wherein the camber possesses a first level given by a virtual level, which runs in parallel to the plane of the gasket through the foot of the camber on the first surface of the gasket layer and a second level, given by a further virtual, which runs through the highest point of the camber and also parallel to the plane of the gasket of the gasket layer, wherein the camber possesses a slope area that ascends between the two levels. The slope area is provided with an undulating structure such that it comprises at least two waves each with a wave crest and a wave trough.

  • Publication number: 20100176558
Abstract: The invention relates to a metallic-flat gasket (1) comprising at least a first and a second gasket layer (2, 3) in which a bead (20) is provided in at least the first gasket layer (2), said bead (20) surrounding in a self-contained manner a through-opening (4) extending through the flat gasket (1). The first gasket layer (2) has a smaller surface area than the second gasket layer (3) and leaves free an edge region (6) adjoining the outer edge (5) of the flat gasket (1). A compensating portion (7) is provided in an edge region (6) of the second gasket layer (3), which compensating portion (7) protrudes at least in the direction of the first gasket layer (2) and has a height which is less than the thickness of the first gasket layer (2). The compensating portion (7) is arranged at least in certain portions along the outer edge (21) of the first gasket layer (2) and consists of a large number of alternating elevations (31) and depressions (32) which are formed in-the second gasket layer (3).

  • Publication number: 20100164185
Abstract: The invention relates to a metallic flat gasket (1) with at least one gasket layer (2), in which at least one through opening (3) is present, which is surrounded by a sealing area (4), in which at least one elastically deformable element (5) surrounding the through opening (3) is arranged, and an optional, at least one functional area (6) with at least one elastically deformable sealing or supporting element (7), which does not separately surround a single through-opening, where outside of the at least one sealing area (4) and the optional at least one functional area (6) on at least one of the surfaces (21, 22) of at least one of the gasket layers (2) an area is surface structured in such a way that the gasket layer (2) in this area has a thickness that is larger than the original thickness of the gasket layer (2).

  • Publication number: 20100109255
Abstract: The invention relates to a metallic flat gasket comprising two or more metallic gasket layers (2, 3, 3?, 3?), of which a shortened gasket layer (2) has a smaller surface area than the at least one other gasket layer. At least one through-opening (4) extending through the gasket layers is surrounded by a self-contained bead (5) which is introduced into one of the relatively extensive gasket layers (3), the shortened gasket layer (2) leaving free an outer edge region (6), which does not comprise the bead (5), of the relatively extensive gasket layer.

  • Publication number: 20080244878
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mounting device having a metallic base plate, from which multiple projections project, and a method for manufacturing this mounting device. The mounting device may be obtained by cutting multiple hook preforms into the surface of the base plate while leaving at least one bending edge per hook preform. Furthermore, hook-like projections are manufactured by bending the hook preforms out of the base plate around the bending edge and possibly lateral protrusions are manufactured on the projections or these are twisted.
