  • Patent number: 11786939
Abstract: The invention relates to a screening element for screening and transporting grit material, for applying to a sanding device of a sanding apparatus for a vehicle. The screening element includes a plate element provided with a shaft-coupling mechanism, at least one through-opening, and at least one lug. The shaft-coupling mechanism is designed to couple the screening element to a shaft device of a rotary feeder of the sanding device. The through-opening is arranged in the plate element and is designed to guide grit material through the plate element. The lug extends transversely in relation to a main surface of the plate element, away from the plate element.

  • Publication number: 20230278597
Abstract: A pneumatic sand conveying device for a sanding system of a rail vehicle includes an obstacle device which is fluidically coupled to a sand input for receiving sand from a sand storage container, the obstacle device being shaped to form an obstacle between the sand input and a mixing device fluidically coupled to the obstacle device. In addition, the sand conveying device has the mixing device for receiving and forwarding sand from the obstacle device by compressed air and a discharge device fluidically coupled to the mixing device to dispense the sand from the sand conveying device through a sand outlet. The obstacle device, the mixing device and the discharge device are arranged in a horizontal plane when the sand conveying device is in a state ready for operation.

  • Publication number: 20230079263
Abstract: A diagnostic apparatus for a sand metering device for a sanding system for a rail vehicle includes a detection device and an evaluation device. The detection device is designed to detect at least one parameter of the sand metering device of the sanding system and to provide a detection signal representing the parameter. The evaluation device is designed to output a metering error signal using the detection signal, which metering error signal indicates a malfunction of the sand metering device if the parameter deviates from a target parameter.

  • Patent number: 10745033
Abstract: A pneumatic pump device coupled to a container for flowable material includes a jet pump with at least one intake duct extending away from the container and leading into the jet pump and an air supply duct extending away from the container and to which pressure can be applied or which leads to an outer surface of the pneumatic pump device. The intake duct and air supply duct have essentially the same orientation in the region of the container and are advantageously inclined relative to the vertical by not more than 40°. A metering system includes a container and such a pneumatic pump device coupled thereto and the use of the pneumatic pump device or metering system in a sanding system of a rail vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10435039
Abstract: A sanding system for a rail vehicle includes a housing of a cellular wheel sluice having an inlet located at the top and an outlet located at the bottom, a pivotably mounted cellular wheel having a plurality of cells, and a motor that is coupled with the cellular wheel. The sanding system further includes a container connected to the inlet of the cellular wheel sluice for receiving brake sand, or a feed line connected to the inlet of the cellular wheel sluice for transporting brake sand, and a discharge line connected to the outlet of the cellular wheel sluice for transporting brake sand. The motor for driving the cellular wheel is thereby arranged above the inlet.

  • Patent number: 10065661
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sand dispenser for a rail vehicle, wherein the sand dispenser comprises a metering device, a delivery device and an uncoupling device. The metering device is designed to pneumatically meter a desired quantity of sand using a metering air flow. The delivery device is designed to pneumatically deliver the quantity of sand to at least one scattering site using a delivery air flow. The uncoupling device is designed to pneumatically uncouple the metering device and the delivery device, wherein the uncoupling device is designed to provide a compensating air flow for compensating a difference between an output air flow of the metering device and an input air flow of the delivery device.
