Abstract: The invention relates to a device, system and method of automated manufacture comprising: delivering a workpiece with a delivery device; receiving the workpiece with a receiving device, the delivering of the workpiece and the receiving of the workpiece being electronically synchronized; processing the workpiece with a processing tool while the workpiece is on the receiving device; transferring the workpiece to a completion device, the ejection of the workpiece and the transferring of the workpiece being electronically synchronized. In particular the workpiece may comprise: a platform with mounts supporting a first component in a selected orientation; and a locating surface, the method comprising: engaging and disengaging the locating surface of the workpiece with releasable connectors on the delivery device, on the receiving device and on the completion device.

Abstract: A shake-proof hook is provided, which includes a hook end that defines a receptacle. The hook end includes a lead-in portion and a channel spaced apart from the lead-in portion. The shake-proof hook includes a coupling end coupled to the hook end. The coupling end includes a retaining portion and at least one coupling ring. The retaining portion extends along a first axis transverse to a longitudinal axis of the shake-proof hook and the at least one coupling ring extends along a second axis. The second axis is transverse to the longitudinal axis and the second axis is different than the first axis.

Abstract: A remote access pull rig for opening a fuse associated with a power distribution system is provided. The remote access pull rig includes a base adapted to be coupled to the fuse and a first leg coupled to the base. The first leg includes a first clamp. The remote access pull rig also includes a second leg coupled to the base. The first leg and the second leg extend along a longitudinal axis of the remote access pull rig, and the second leg including a second clamp. The remote access pull rig includes an arm coupled to the base. The arm extends along an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis and includes a third clamp.

Abstract: A surface active agent comprising an arylated methyl ester of a fatty acid, or mixture of fatty acids, derived from biodiesel or a triglyceride source is disclosed. The fatty acid mixture is condensed to methyl esters and alkylated with aromatic substituents under Friedel-Crafts conditions. The alkylated methyl esters may be alkoxylated using a catalyst derived from fatty acids, alkaline earth salts, and strong acids. The resulting nonionic surfactant may also be sulfonated to produce one class of anionic surfactants. The alkylated methyl esters may also be directly sulfonated to produce another class of anionic surfactants.

Abstract: A bladeless fan assembly for creating an air current includes a nozzle mounted on a base housing a device for creating an air flow. The nozzle includes an interior passage for receiving the air flow and a mouth for emitting the air flow. The nozzle defines, and extends about, an opening through which air from outside the fan assembly is drawn by the air flow emitted from the mouth. The nozzle also includes a heater for heating the air flow upstream of the mouth.

Abstract: Acylalkylisethionate esters are produced by reacting one or more carboxylic acids with one or more alkyl-substituted hydroxyalkyl sulfonates under esterification reaction conditions. The alkyl-substituted hydroxyalkyl sulfonates used as a raw material in producing the esters are prepared by reacting bisulfate with one or more alkylene oxides. The acylalkylisethionate esters may be used in consumer products.

Abstract: A ramekin dispenser including a platform that may be attachable to a commercial kitchen refrigerator and a ramekin holder removably attachable to the platform. The platform may include a base that stops ramekins from falling out of the ramekin holder and that facilitates removal of one ramekin at a time from a dispensing slot. The platform may be removably or permanently attachable to the commercial kitchen refrigerator. The ramekin holder may be removably attachable to the platform via a keyhole and pin arrangement. The ramekin holder may have a cylindrical or some other shape, possibly with a slot on one side. The platform and the ramekin holder may be made of plastic, wood, metal, or any other suitable material. Also, similarly configured dispensers for other items.

Abstract: A bunded tank system suitable for both transport and storage of bulk dangerous industrial liquids is provided. Preferably the tank is containerised to provide efficient use of space and improved logistics for transport and storage. The containerised bunded tank system includes a plurality of bunded sub-tanks arranged in an interlocking manner within an ISO container. In addition the container is fitted with an improved container lock.

Abstract: An automated device for producing a closed part, commencing with an open part having a cap joined with a hinge to a body, the device comprising: a tool having a guide surface defined in an operating plane substantially orthogonal to a hinge axis; a part gripper disposed on a computer numerically controlled shuttle, the part gripper operable to: select an open part from a stream of identical open parts; engage one of: the cap; and the body, on a start point on the guide surface; slide the open part, within the operating plane from the start point to a finish point on the guide surface, to rotate the cap about the hinge axis from an open position to a closed position relative to the body; and release the closed part from the part gripper at a release station.

Abstract: To reduce humidity levels in an enclosure, such as a toolbox or tackle box, containers holding hygroscopic material can be placed in the enclosure. Such containers must be large enough to absorb water for several months and small enough to not require excess space. The containers may be shaped to have greater surface area than a sphere or cylinder of equal volume to increase absorbency and have an appearance that increases likelihood of use.

Abstract: A method for installing a paver system includes positioning a first grid substrate adjacent to a second grid substrate. The first grid substrate and the second grid substrate are flexibly bridged with a first paver piece. A first portion of the first paver piece is movably coupled with the first grid substrate at a first joint, and a second portion of the first paver piece is movably coupled with the second grid substrate at a second joint, the first and second grid substrates and the first paver piece forming an articulated paver linkage. A second paver piece is coupled with the second grid substrate. A third paver piece is coupled with the first grid substrate. The articulated paver linkage is fit within the specified area by movement of at least one of the first, second and third paver pieces and the first and second grid substrates. The movement is transmitted along the articulated paver linkage to maintain a specified alignment and spacing of the first, second and third paver pieces.

Abstract: A method for installing a paver system includes positioning a first grid substrate adjacent to a second grid substrate, the first and second grid substrates form a paver support surface. At least the first grid substrate includes an integrated boundary ridge extending along the first paver support surface. The first grid substrate is interlocked with the second grid substrate with a first paver piece bridging the first and second grid substrates to form a paver linkage. Movement of at least the first paver piece is arrested beyond the integrated boundary ridge by directly or indirectly engaging at least the first paver piece against the integrated boundary ridge. In another example, movement of the first paver piece is arrested by anchoring at least the first paver piece on the first and second paver support surfaces through distribution of forces incident on at least the first paver piece through the paver linkage.
