  • Publication number: 20240151895
Abstract: A variety of illumination devices are disclosed that are configured to manipulate light provided by one or more light-emitting elements (LEEs). In general, embodiments of the illumination devices feature one or more optical couplers that redirect illumination from the LEEs to a reflector which then directs the light into a range of angles. In some embodiments, the illumination device includes a second reflector that reflects at least some of the light from the first reflector. In certain embodiments, the illumination device includes a light guide that guides light from the collector to the first reflector. The components of the illumination device can be configured to provide illumination devices that can provide a variety of intensity distributions. Such illumination devices can be configured to provide light for particular lighting applications, including office lighting, task lighting, cabinet lighting, garage lighting, wall wash, stack lighting, and downlighting.

  • Publication number: 20080166453
Abstract: A low-calorie, no laxation bulking system and a method for preparation of same is disclosed. Erithritol and at least one gum are combined to form a dry-blended mixture. The dry-blended mixture is added to water, forming a first mix, and the first mix is heated to a first temperature. A first liquid mixture comprising modified polydextrose is formed. The first liquid mixture is added to the first mix to form a second mix, and the second mix is heated to a second temperature. A second liquid mixture comprising at least one acid is added to the second mix, and the resultant solution is maintained in a predetermined temperature range. The resultant solution is then preferably stirred constantly and held in a kettle or mixing tank for panning or molding as desired.

  • Patent number: 4102149
Abstract: The disclosed system includes first and second hermetic shell compressors, one of which always runs while the system is operating and includes unloading means for running at half load, and the other compressor operating at full load or not at all so that four operating capacity steps are available, both of the compressors having shells with suction gas inlets, oil equalizer line ports, and gas exchange line ports being identically sized and located with respect to each other so that standard compressors can be stocked and used in the multiple compressor system while the multiple compressor system is capable of being operated at the varying capacities.
