  • Patent number: 11002065
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a sealing system configured to provide a sealed boundary between a conditioned and an uncontrolled or separately conditioned environment. In some examples, the sealing system may comprise a door, a conditioning device, and a seal assembly. The door may be moveable between an opened position and a closed position. The seal assembly may be coupled to the door and have an airflow path. When the door is in the closed position, the conditioning device may be configured to direct conditioned air into the airflow path, thereby urging conditioned air through the seal to inhibit undesirable door and/or adjacent surface conditions.

Date of Patent: May 11, 2021
    Assignee: ASI Doors, Inc.

  • Patent number: 10344527
Abstract: A roll-up door (10) with slats (60) rolled on a reel (12) with spiral guides (32) that maintain a tangent between the reel (12) and the closure plane at the point of entry/exit so as to maintain a perpendicular entry and exit with the side guides (36) and reduce friction, increase speed, reduce noise and help keep self-aligning end caps tracking correctly. It can also eliminate hinges between slats and permit each slat to be removed independently, without disassembling the other slats.

  • Publication number: 20140259943
Abstract: A door construction made of panel sections hinged to one another at end faces so as to be folded to overlie one another for transport and unfolded to a co-planar configuration at a point of assembly. After unfolding, braces are applied to the end faces to maintain the co-planar configuration. Gaskets are provided between facing surfaces of the two door sections, and a gasket may be provided around the perimeter of the door and the gaskets span the seam. A wire may also be provided that spans the seam and remains intact before, during, and after unfolding.

  • Publication number: 20140013668
Abstract: An industrial sliding door for closing off a door opening in a wall of a structure includes a door panel that extends vertically for substantially the height of the door opening and horizontally between an inward edge of the door panel and an outward edge of the door panel and covers at least a portion of the door opening when the door is closed. The sliding door also includes a trolley assembly that is coupled to the door panel and that includes a track component. A shroud covers the trolley assembly and forms a rail for the track component. A drive assembly drives the trolley assembly to open and close the door opening and is positioned below a top panel of the shroud and behind a front panel of the shroud and between the trolley assembly and the wall.

  • Publication number: 20090291627
Abstract: An air curtain doorway defining an opening between at least two zones, including an air curtain having an air supply duct and an air return duct joined by a connecting duct. A frame having spaced apart jambs connected at the top by a header is configured to fit substantially within the opening of the air curtain. At least two roll-up doors in communication with the frame are configured to selectively insulate the at least first and second zones. A method of controlling a plurality of roll-up doors of an air curtain doorway comprises the steps of monitoring the output of at least a first sensor and a second sensor to sense approach of the doorway, applying logic to the output of the sensors, and controlling at least one of the doors based upon the result of the applied logic. The method can also include closing the roll-up doors while the air curtain is blowing, or turning off the air curtain and closing the roll-up doors.
