    Abstract: A jack for snow plow frames is attachable thereto forwardly of the ears of the frame through which and corresponding ears on the front end of a truck attaching pivot pins extend when the pin receiving holes in the ears are in registry. A jack unit attachable to a snow plow frame has transverse arms attachable to the frame and a central hub through which a jack screw is threaded at right angles to the arms and which is rotatable relative to the frame to enable the jack screw to be swung into and out of a ground-engaging vertical position and adjusted to maintain the frame in the position it was in while the plow was being disconnected from the truck and to be raised and lowered, if necessary when the plow is again to be connected to the plow frame.

    Abstract: A snow plow attachment includes a first part for engagement with a bumper of a stalled vehicle and detachably attachable to the blade of the snow plow and a rearwardly disposed second part engageable with the central portion of the blade, vertically considered, to brace the first part in its bumper-engaging position. In one embodiment of the invention, the attachment is secured to the upper portion of the plow blade and in another, the attachment is secured to both upper and lower portions thereof.

    Abstract: Down spouts have at least one section that is a length of an extruded conduit having lengthwise portions extending from end-to-end thereof with a backing, substantially coextensive in length connected thereto and with a heating element between the backing and the seat defined by the lengthwise portions. Where the down spout includes one or more elbows, shorter sections of the same extrusion are used to form them with those that are disposed angularly having the heating element disposed in an underlying position and with the abutting ends of the sections mitered and sealed together.
