Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for recalling execution of an approval process on a data object. These mechanisms and methods for recalling execution of an approval process on a data object can enable actions to be automatically performed in association with the recall of the execution of the approval process on the data object. Thus, manual initiation of actions associated with a recall may be avoided.

Abstract: An apparatus for agitating materials contained in tubes, including cellular materials and tissues, to release their contents for scientific analysis. The apparatus includes a control enclosure containing a base and a motor, and an interchangeable module that connects to the motor. The interchangeable module includes a tube supporting structure and a rotatable hub connected to one or more strikers positioned to impact the tubes, resulting in agitation of tube contents. Interchangeable modules allow for different shapes and sizes of tubes to be used with a single control enclosure. The apparatus includes a means to measure the rotational velocity of the rotatable hub and a method for using the speed to determine the number of tubes in the apparatus, or the mass or volume of samples contained in tubes.

These mechanisms and methods for rule-based performance of actions on related objects can provide a generalized technique for configuring related object actions that are responsive to object updates. The ability to provide this generalized technique can enable actions to be automatically performed on objects in response to updates to related objects, in a rule-based manner.

Abstract: The present invention provides a drain-through type of designed portable work and walking surface matting, which has the size, weight and slip resistant characteristics, as well as the anti-fatigue properties which make it a more desirable surface on which to walk and work. The invention consists of the lamination of two dimensionally stable or unstable coated scrims to produce a dimensionally stable laminate. Each coated scrim has a plurality of openings extending through the scrim. The lower surface of the first coated scrim is permanently bonded to the upper surface of the second coated scrim.

Abstract: A sanitary water valve in the form of a single shut-off valve or a mixing valve having one or more operating handles, especially a single-lever mixing valve with water passages and at least one water outlet. A valve body is provided that is made of a metal alloy that contains lead and that serves for receiving control components, especially components integrated into a cartridge. Water inlet lines are connected to the cartridge via an insert that is disposed adjacent to the cartridge. To prevent contact between water flowing through the parts of the valve that are made of brass alloys containing lead, the inner surfaces of the water passages are protected by a water proof protection made of lead-free material that is non-hazardous to health.

Abstract: A Xenon Bromide (XeBr) excimer laser is made by electron beam excitation over a range of from 10-3000 torr xenon with 0.5-4% Br.sub.2. Xe* generated by a high-energy electron beam reacts with Br.sub.2 to produce XeBr* which undergoes a bound-free transition resulting in stimulated emission on the transition XeBr*.fwdarw.Xe + Br + hv (230-360 nm) where* represents a low lying electronically excited state.
