  • Publication number: 20170344210
Abstract: A sharing model enables users to easily and conveniently create and share standard and custom database objects, and applications, among users or groups of users. The sharing model includes systems and methods that allow users to conveniently create and customize tabs and tab sets that define relationships between custom objects and fields, standard objects and fields, and applications. A tab visually represents a user interface into an element of an application or into a database object. Selection of a tab provides a user access to the object or element of the application represented by the tab. A tab set is a group of related tabs that work as a unit to provide application functionality. New tabs and tab sets may be defined and tab set views may be customized so that an end user can easily and conveniently switch between the various objects and application elements represented by the displayed tabs and tab set views.

  • Patent number: 9366097
Abstract: A power tong having a self-contained hydraulic power system within its rotating body converts mechanical energy from at least one mechanical link to hydraulic energy within the self-contained hydraulic power system. Energy applied from the non-rotating portion of the power tong is transferred to the mechanical link that links the fixed portion with the rotating portion of the power tong thus removing the need for rotary seals. The mechanical energy transferred to the self-contained hydraulic power system within the rotating body is used to extend and retract one or more grippers in contact with, for example, a tubular of well equipment drill strings.

  • Publication number: 20100161378
Abstract: Methods for selecting one or more advertisements based on previously captured relevance data to serve to a client system requesting a primary webpage is provided. The client displays a referring webpage having a hyperlink to the primary webpage. Upon selection of the hyperlink, the client sends a request to a content server storing the primary webpage. The content server classifies the primary webpage for content and retrieves persistent relevance information, possibly including a referrer of the primary webpage comprising a URL address of the referring webpage, a listing of other recently visited webpages, a listing of any bid phrases from previously displayed advertisements, and a listing of recent click data. The content server sends the primary webpage to the client, which includes an advertisement server request. The transaction between the content server and the advertisement server includes persistence relevance information to select advertisements to serve to the client.

  • Patent number: 7181498
Abstract: A community-based “green list” (CGL) message filter for mail service providers. The CGL filtering enables trusted messages to be delivered directly into a user's inbox folder and other messages to be delivered to other folders associated with the user. The CGL filtering indicates which messages are sent from those message addresses listed as friends in the user's personal address book. Also, the scope of CGL filtering includes more than those message addresses that the user interacts with directly (one degree of separation). For example, the CGL filtering also evaluates message addresses that are connected more remotely to the user through other nodes (users) in the online community that are located multiple degrees of separation away from the user.

  • Patent number: 7181764
Abstract: The invention is directed to implementing a trust rating subscription model for email addresses and/or domains in a trust-oriented email network that is supported by a deployment of a trusted email database (TED) system. The TED maintains the trust rating for individual email addresses relative to the recipients. Also, the subscription model enables the email end users and inbox service providers to register with the TED to obtain the trust rating of a specific email sender relative to the recipient. This trust rating may then be used by the email end user or an inbox service provider to filter spam, if the sender is untrusted, or deliver the message to an inbox, if the sender is trusted. A sender (individual email address, domain, and the like) can also subscribe and obtain limited rights to email subscribers of the TED system.
