  • Patent number: 4918720
Abstract: The invention discloses a control circuit device of a desk lamp apparatus which is used in association with a telephone set. This circuit device may be actuated by an input signal from a telephone line for the duration of a call in order to provide a full light source over the place surrounding the telephone. A delay circuit is provided to prolong the actuated state of the circuit device for a period of time after a phone conversation is over.

  • Patent number: 4561142
Abstract: A disc cleaning device is disclosed which includes a disc support platform mounted to rotate about a first axis. This platform is adapted to support a disc to be cleaned and to center the disc to be cleaned about the first axis. An annular cleaning surface is mounted to rotate about a second axis spaced from the first axis. This cleaning surface is positioned to contact a disc to be cleaned supported on the platform. The platform and the cleaning surface are rotated such that the cleaning surface rotates at twice the angular velocity of the platform. The cleaning surface defines an effective radius equal to the separation between the first and second axes. It has been discovered that this geometry and arrangement of velocities ensures that relative movement between the cleaning surface and the disc to be cleaned is oriented substantially radially with respect to the first axis in order to provide a substantially radially oriented cleaning of at least an annular portion of the disc to be cleaned.

  • Patent number: 4126763
Abstract: In this telephone answering device, the incoming message record tape is driven by a motor that is oriented by a cam mechanism from a forward drive position to a rewind position. The mechanism is driven by a cam drive motor under control of a circuit which initially responds to detection of a beep tone that begins remote playout of recorded incoming messages. The control circuit programmatically directs the cam mechanism first to orient the tape drive motor in the rewind direction to rewind the tape and then to orient the motor to drive the tape in the forward direction to facilitate remote playout of the messages. Provision is made to inhibit beep tone response during tape rewind.
