  • Patent number: 4394112
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a combination roller set comprising an inside body member having a first longitudinal body axis and an outside body member surrounding said inside body member and having a second longitudinal body axis substantially parallel to said first body axis. The first body axis and said second body axis are displaced from each other. The body axis of said body members is disposed to provide an orbital movement about the body axis of the other said body members. The inside and outside body members are respectively provided with a plurality of roller teeth disposed to mesh with each other and define a mesh relationship. One or both of the body members may be provided with concave surfaces. At least one of said concave surfaces and at least a roller tooth in the other of said body members is disposed to engage each other in said mesh relationship and provide a contact engagement therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4368011
Abstract: A cylindrical tooth set having two sets of cylindrical teeth, one set being mounted in a rotor tooth member and the other set being mounted in a stator tooth member. The rotor tooth member is provided with a plurality of an odd number of cylindrical teeth and the stator tooth member is provided with a plurality of an even number of cylindrical teeth. The rotor tooth member is further provided with a plurality of concave sockets between the rotor teeth thereof. One of said concave sockets and one of said stator teeth being disposed to engage each other on the transverse line of eccentricity.

  • Patent number: 4368012
Abstract: In a fluid pressure assembly having a valve disk member with substantially identical flat sides which comprises a part of a fluid valve mechanism. A valve housing, being another part of the valve mechanism, includes an integral hollow wall which provides an outer valve chamber and an inner valve chamber oppositely pressurized from fluid ports. The hollow wall axially terminates in a hollow blank surface of soft metal, being the same as that of the valve housing. The valve disk member is treated for hardness and has a valve disk side which sealingly engages a stationary valve face of a stationary valve member and a ring disk side which sealingly rubs against the soft metal of the hollow blank surface, whereby the soft metal is wearable thereby to provide a close tolerance factor to prevent leakage.

  • Patent number: 4198194
Abstract: A rotary piston machine including an interface fluid valve mechanism comprising a flat blank surface, a rotary valve member, and a stationary valve member having a stationary valve face disposed substantially parallel to said flat blank surface and being axially spaced therefrom, said rotary valve member comprising a flange body and a hollow extension body axially extending therefrom, said flange body having a rotating valve face sealingly confronting said stationary valve face and defining therewith a commutating interface valve, said hollow extension body terminating in a hollow blank surface sealingly confronting said flat blank surface and defining therewith a blank interface seal, one of said blank surfaces comprising a master surface disposed to resist frictional wear during rotation of said rotary valve member and the other of said blank surfaces comprising a wear-in servant surface disposed to be less resistant to frictional wear than that of said master surface and being wearable thereby, said rotary

  • Patent number: 4036031
Abstract: Universal connection means between a wobble shaft and rotatable body in an orbital fluid pressure device, said rotatable body having a body axis, said wobble shaft having a shaft axis disposed to intersect said body axis, said rotatable body including an internal polygonal socket configuration, said wobble shaft including an external polygonal head configuration, said internal and external configurations interfittingly engaging each other for transmitting torque therebetween in a torque transmitting direction, said polygonal configurations providing universal relative movement therebetween in all directions other than in said torque transmitting direction, said polygonal configurations including at least an internal torque transfer wall and an external torque transfer wall confronting each other and disposed for relative universal movement, one of said transfer walls comprising substantially flat wall means and the other comprising substantially contour wall means, said flat wall means and said contour wall m
