Abstract: An apparatus and method for separating heavy metals and precious stones from alluvial material wherein the apparatus comprises a frame, a gold pan supported on the frame and a vibration means supported on the frame adapted to provide a vibration to the gold pan. The apparatus may further comprise a water pump supported on the frame operable to introduce a quantity of water to the gold pan. The apparatus may further comprise a screen supported above the gold pan. The method comprises providing a gold pan supported on a frame, introducing a quantity of an alluvial material to the gold pan and vibrating the gold pan so as to remove lighter material leaving the heavy metals and precious stones therein.

Abstract: An open topped storage bin and frame system which allows for various widths of storage bins to be interchangeable and allow for each storage bin to pivot from a closed position within the frame to an open position where the open top is exposed outwardly of the frame. The bin may be provided with a lid. The upper surface of the storage bin and lid has a middle forward flat shape and front and rear upwardly curved portions forming stops. The frame includes at least one pair of vertically spaced, horizontal rods. Inward rotation of the bin is arrested when the front upwardly curved portion of the bin and lid comes into contact with the upper rod. Outward rotation of the bin is arrested when the rear upwardly curved portion of the bin and lid comes into contact with the upper rod.

Abstract: A ratchet wrench having a handle through which a rotatable shaft extends. A bevel gear is coupled to one end of the shaft for rotation by the shaft about an input drive axis. A pair of concentrically aligned ring gears are coupled to the bevel gear for counter rotation of the ring gears, by the bevel gear, about an output drive axis perpendicular to the input drive axis. A drive member is mounted inside the ring gears for rotation about the output drive axis. A ratchet mechanism couples the ring gears to the drive member such that, for either direction of rotation of the bevel gear, one of the ring gears is coupled to the drive member and the other of the ring gears is decoupled from the drive member. The ring gears are further coupled to the bevel gear for unidirectional rotation of the ring gears about the output drive axis in response to pivotal movement of the handle about the output drive axis.
