  • Patent number: 4198542
Abstract: A device for aiding persons having a speech handicap, comprising a first transducer capable of picking up and transforming into an electrical signal the vibrations emitted by an element such as one of the vocal chords of the phonation mechanism of the person. In a first embodiment of the invention, the signal is treated by an electronic circuit comprising an amplifier which feeds a second transducer acting on another element such as the other vocal chord of the phonation mechanism so as to facilitate or reinforce the formation of sounds produced by said mechanism; in a second embodiment of the invention, the amplifier is followed by a rectifier feeding the second transducer which produces a mechanical action, like tension, in another element such as a muscle of the phonation mechanism in order to help close the glottis of the handicapped person.

  • Patent number: 3961209
Abstract: This invention concerns an oscillator for time measurement, comprising a resonator the oscillation of which is maintained by at least one part reciprocated by electrostatic forces relative to at least one electrode connected to a direct voltage source, said part being periodically charged by contact with the electrode, or electrodes comprising an elastically deformable contact making member whose elastic deformation energy is much less when in contact with an electrode than the motional energy of the resonator.

  • Patent number: 3934162
Abstract: The present invention relates to a miniaturized nuclear battery, consisting of several in series connected cells, wherein each cell contains a support which acts as positive pole and which supports on one side a .beta.-emitter, above said emitter is a radiation resisting insulation layer which is covered by an absorption layer, above which is a collector layer, and wherein the in series connected cells are disposed in an airtight case.
