  • Publication number: 20240017089
Abstract: A system for treating nails, comprising: a pulse light emission device (1) making it possible to expose at least one nail to be treated to at least one light pulse, even better to a burst of light pulses, at least one coating (16) to be applied to the nail or nails, absorbing the light emitted by the device, or an applicator of such a coating, notably of reflectivity less than 50% and/or transmissivity less than 50%, and the surface temperature of which can exceed 60° C., and more preferentially 200° C., under the effect of the light emitted by the device.

  • Publication number: 20210205016
Abstract: A device for treating, in particular for hair removal or photo-rejuvenation or vascular treatment, a part of a human body by emitting light pulses. The device includes a handpiece for applying the light pulses to the part of the body. The handpiece is able to move in relation to the body. The handpiece includes a window for outputting the light pulses onto a localized area of the part of the body, and an optical, capacitive or inertial motion detector. The device includes a control system for controlling the emission of the light pulses, configured so as to automatically trigger the light pulses during the movement of the handpiece at a rate determined on the basis at least of at least one item of information provided by the motion detector.

  • Publication number: 20100045882
Abstract: An apparatus for treating a human body or an animal body, which emits light flashes and comprises: a main post, a handpiece connected to the main post and including a flash lamp, a flash emission actuation member, and an individual portable system that protects against glare caused by the emission of a flash, said system comprising one or more optical occluders which are placed in front of the eyes and which can switch from a first optically transparent state to a second optical attenuation state. The+ main post can detect a user's action on the aforementioned actuation member and the occluders switch from the first state to the second state upon detection of one such action.

  • Publication number: 20090234372
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of epilating hairs, in particular of light color, e.g. light brown, red, blond, white, or non-pigmented, the method comprising the steps consisting in: i) mechanically removing the hairs to be treated so as to cause blood masses to form in the follicular sacs of the removed hairs; and ii) exposing the blood in contact with the follicular papillae of the removed hairs to at least one light flash so as to raise the temperature of the blood masses formed in this way.

  • Patent number: 5768113
Abstract: A high power and high voltage power supply is capable of charging one or more capacitors to high voltage. The power supply includes a current rectifier circuit for connecting to an AC source, a voltage step-up circuit including at least one controllable electronic switch and a voltage step-up transformer including a primary winding electrically connected to the electronic switch, and a control device for controlling the electronic switch. The power supply is organized to chop the current flowing through the primary winding in such a manner as to enable a high voltage to be taken from across the terminal to at least one secondary winding of the transformer. The step-up circuit is of a non-resonant type.
