  • Patent number: 5029415
Abstract: An apparatus for centrifugal hydromechanical cleaning and polishing has a working cylinder filled with a working medium which is a mixture of working bodies and working fluid. The cylinder is closed by a left and a right cover. The covers are provided with sleeves through which a billet to be cleaned can pass. In the axis of the cylinder there is fixed a perforated pipe which is connected to a feed pump. The left cover is provided with a hole for charging the cylinder with a working medium, which is hermetically closed with a cap. The working cylinder is seated on supporting rolls and is rotated on its axis. In an alternative embodiment of the apparatus, bearing units are pressed-in eccentrically in both covers and billets are positioned in the bearing units and rotated by a transmission mechanism. In both embodiments, as the cylinder rotates, centrifugal forces cause the working bodies to envelop the billets and abrade them. Products of abrasion washed away by circulating working fluid.

  • Patent number: 4660326
Abstract: An apparatus, consisting of a movable casing connected to a drive mechanism. A chamber is arranged in the movable casing and filled with working medium. The movable casing has a diaphragm connected with a mechanism for backward and forward movement. The movable casing is horizontal and the diaphragm, of which there is at least one, is mounted in the chamber of the movable casing on a sliding coupling. The working medium is a mixture of spheres and working fluid, and the movable casing is connected with a working fluid source.

  • Patent number: 4619129
Abstract: Method of and apparatus for forming blanks by hydroplastic deformation. In a closed deformation space there is supplied a working fluid under high pressure and, simultaneously, the material of the blank to be deformed which is disposed in the deformation space is subjected to plastic deformation by the working fluid. In the zone of the closed deformation space there is applied a concentrated and controllable impulsed fluid load, this load being applied cyclically at equal time intervals and being controlled along the length of the blank being deformed. The apparatus of the invention comprises a working tool with a blind central hole and radial channels connected thereto, and a female die in which the blank to be deformed is disposed. The working tool is connected to a supply cylinder in which there is provided a pressure chamber, the pressure chamber containing a piston connected to the working tool. The supply cylinder is fastened to the movable part of a press.

  • Patent number: 4573841
Abstract: Method of and tool for the precise and finish processing of profiled cylindrical holes in a metal workpiece, wherein the length to billet diameter ratio of the hole is larger than 3. In accordance with the method of the invention, there is preliminary chip removal along the hole being processed, and the hole is later plastically deformed by fluid fed to the deformation zone thereof under high pressure. Fluid under high pressure is also fed to the zone of chip removal and is directed toward the chips removed from the material. The tool for carrying out the method comprises guiding, cutting, deforming and sizing parts disposed in such sequence and mounted upon a tool body. The tool body is provided with a blind axial hole through which the fluid under high pressure is supplied to the deformation zone of the hole in the workpiece and to the zone of chip removal where it is directed toward the chips removed from the material of the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4558579
Abstract: Apparatus for the hydroplastic processing of tubular products which finishes the inner surfaces of such products while attaining exact outer dimensions thereof. The apparatus employs a vertical hydraulic press having a movable slide and a work table therebeneath. To the slide there is attached a device for the hydroplastic processing of tubular products, and on the workpiece of the press there is secured a positioning fixture bearing at least one die adapted to have a billet introduced thereinto. Secured to the slide of the press is a carrying plate and beneath the carrying plate and spaced therefrom there is a base plate upon which there are mounted a vertical broaching rod and, laterally spaced therefrom, a knockout rod.

  • Patent number: 4480453
Abstract: Apparatus for the blast hydroplastic finishing of tubular billets, comprising a housing to which there are attached front and back stops, while the back stop has a blast chamber and a work tool disposed in it. In the back stop, after the blast chamber, there are a guiding chamber and a compensating chamber, the three being interconnected. The work tool in its initial position is disposed against a rest in the guiding chamber. The tool has a center blind hole and radial channels connected thereto, and in the front end of the work tool there is a gasket. In the front stop there is mounted a fixed ram and there is positioned a traveling cylindrical piston with a center blind hole wherein the tubular billet is disposed. One end of this cylindrical piston slips over the fixed ram so that a recoil chamber is formed, the recoil chamber being connected to the compensating chamber through longitudinal grooves in the traveling cylindrical piston.
