  • Patent number: 4397387
Abstract: A display box comprising a base provided with a sidewall, and a hollow cover pivotally mounted on one end face of the sidewall of the base by pivot members, the base and the cover constituting two separate parts, the pivot members comprising two protruding pins integral with one of the parts, and two oval holes in the other of the parts for receiving the pins. The base (1) comprises a lower peripheral flange (13) connected to the lower part of its sidewall (12) on which rests the cover (2) in a closed position and an opening in the region of said end face (121)in the vicinity of the flange for avoiding any blocking of the cover before it attains its open position. • Patent number: 4308023
Abstract: A process and machine for manufacturing a tubular element, for example for use in forming boxes, in which a strip of material is wound around a mandrel having a cross-section corresponding to that of the tubular element to be formed. The strip of material is arranged to extend in a plane and the mandrel is applied against the strip in a direction perpendicular to said plane to cause lateral parts of the strip to lift up on either side of the mandrel and to define two flaps projecting above the mandrel. A force is then exerted on each of the flaps in a direction parallel to said plane to fold the flaps down onto the mandrel and to bring their free edges into abutment.

  • Patent number: 3987894
Abstract: The invention relates to a presentation casket made especially of sheet material such as cardboard, wood, metal, plastic or the like, and designed to contain and display an appropriate article such as a bottle of perfume, a jewel, etc. The casket is of simple construction on manual or automatic machines; it has a low production cost but is of elegant appearance. The casket comprises a casing formed by two shells pivoted one on the other on a rear vertical axis so as to be capable of opening from the front from a position of closure, a base in the bottom inside of the casing receiving the article to be presented and being joined to the shells by elastic coupling means such as bellows members arranged so as to apply a thrust against the base, symmetrically with respect to the shells.
