  • Patent number: 4499904
Abstract: A heart monitoring device comprises a sensing unit for detecting R-waves of an ECG signal, an ECG signal parameters determining unit responsive to the output signal of the sensing unit and producing at three outputs six signals related to features of the R-to-R intervals, a logic circuit having its inputs connected to the outputs of the ECG signal parameters determining unit, a storage unit having its inputs connected to the outputs of the logic circuit, an indication unit counting and indicating the results obtained by monitoring heart activity and having inputs connected to the outputs of the logic circuit, a timing unit having an input connected to the output of the sensing unit and outputs connected to the control inputs of the ECG signal parameters determining unit, the storage unit, and the indication unit. The ECG signal parameters determining unit, the storage unit and the indication unit are provided with reset inputs connected to a reset unit.

  • Patent number: 4409985
Abstract: An electronic ergometer for cardiac arrhythmia patients is disclosed, and it is capable of determining and indicating the magnitude of power developed by an individual. In addition, it can indicate the power at which a cardiac arrhythmia occurs. In one embodiment of the invention, the electronic ergometer is capable of storing the magnitude of power developed by the patient at which the cardiac arrhythmia occurred. The device consists of various electronic components encased in a simple housing attached to the belt, or other clothing, of the patient. It is used by the patient during physical activity, in order to monitor the work and power of the patient. In addition, since an electrocardiogram sensor is provided, the unit sounds an alarm when a cardiac arrhythmia occurs. This advises the patient to cease his working and to rest.

  • Patent number: 4409992
Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic ergometer placed in a housing and comprising a series arrangement of a transducer, for converting the oscillations of the body center of gravity of an individual into an electrical signal and implemented as a seismic pickup, and a pulse shaper having its output connected to an adjustable high-frequency multivibrator with a frequency adjusting means. A frequency divider is connected to the output of the high-frequency multivibrator, the output of the frequency divider being connected to the counting inputs of a first multi-digit counter and a second multi-digit counter. The outputs of the first counter are connected to inputs of an indicator. The control input and one of the reset inputs of the second counter are connected to an adjustable timer, whose reset input is connected to a time interval adjusting unit. The outputs of the second counter are connected to the inputs of a power indication permitting unit, the outputs of which are connected to inputs of the indicator.

  • Patent number: 4394865
Abstract: An apparatus for determining levels of physical loads, having a housing with two switching elements disposed therein and electrically coupled to an indicator and through a cut-out switch to a power supply unit. The apparatus further comprises a seismic mass constituted by a permanent magnet and secured in the housing by means of elastic suspension elements. The switching elements are positioned along the direction of movement of the seismic mass. The indicator includes three indicating elements indicating, respectively, the minimum, the optimum and the maximum level of physical load.

  • Patent number: 4224952
Abstract: An electronic ergometer is placed in a housing and comprises a serial arrangement of a transducer to convert the oscillations of the body center of gravity of an individual, implemented as a seismic pickup, and a pulse shaper. Coupled to the pulse shaper is an adjustable high frequency multivibrator with a frequency generating circuit having an element coupled to a unit to select the frequency of the adjustable high frequency multivibrator. Coupled to the output of the adjustable high frequency multivibrator is a frequency divider which, in turn, is coupled to a multi-digit counter connecting an indicator. A zero setting unit is coupled to the reset inputs of the frequency divider and the multi-digit counter.
