Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure can include systems, methods, and apparatuses for installing a hand guard on a firearm. In some embodiments, a method of installing a hand guard on a firearm can be provided. The firearm includes a barrel, a barrel nut, and a delta ring. The delta ring is refracted away from the barrel nut. A number of hand guard members are positioned about the barrel. An annular groove formed between a forward plate and a rear plate associated with each hand guard member is mated with a portion of a flange of the barrel nut. The flange is secured within the annular groove of at least one hand guard member. The delta ring is advanced over a portion of some or all the hand guard members.

Abstract: Systems and methods for associating an accessory with a firearm include, in one embodiment, an accessory having an accessory portion and an attachment portion. The accessory portion is associated with any accessory a user may desire to associate with the firearm. The attachment portion allows the accessory to be associated with a rail assembly of the firearm. The attachment portion includes a first mounting arm and a second mounting arm configured to be positioned about the rail assembly when the accessory is snapped about the rail assembly. Also included is a securing mechanism for limiting the movement of the accessory when the accessory is snapped about the rail assembly.

Abstract: A system and method for adapting a vertical fore grip to a user. In one embodiment, a system for adapting a vertical fore grip to a user can be provided. The system can include a vertical fore grip configured to adjustably attach to a firearm; a grip extension configured to modify the vertical fore grip, wherein the grip extension is further configured to mount at least one accessory; and a bolt assembly for adjustably attaching the grip extension to the vertical fore grip.

Abstract: The disclosed discharge chute directional control system and method is typically used on outdoor power equipment. By moving the position of the handle portion of a spring loaded handle assembly, the operator imparts rotation to a cam assembly. Rotation of the cam assembly imparts opposing forces on a pair of cables. These opposing forces, when applied to the rotational mounting of a discharge chute, change the orientation of the discharge chute.
