  • Publication number: 20100065386
Abstract: A fully electrically controlled electric braking system is provided for a road vehicle fitted with wheels (1). Each of the wheels is connected for rotation to at least one rotary electric machine (2) specific thereto, with at least one electronic wheel control module (23) controlling the electric machine(s) (2) of that wheel. Each electronic wheel control module (23) makes it possible to impart selectively to a corresponding wheel a control torque of determined amplitude and sign, in such a way that the corresponding wheel imparts to the vehicle a drive force or a braking force in accordance with the control torque. The system includes a central unit (3) for managing vehicle displacement, the central unit (3) controlling all the electronic wheel control modules (23). The central unit (3) has a vehicle braking mode activated by a vehicle braking control signal having a given amplitude representing a total desired braking force for the fully electrically controlled wheels.

  • Patent number: 7587807
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a stator of an electrical rotating machine that is configured to have a rotor mounted inside the stator. The stator has a laminated magnetic circuit having a stack of magnetic metal sheets disposed substantially parallel to a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotor of the machine. The magnetic circuit has teeth that delimit longitudinally oriented slots. The method includes the step of installing electrically conductive wires in the slots and forming winding heads at the two axial ends of the magnetic circuit and installing this assembly on a vertical axis. The assembly is trapped between an outer sheath, forming part of the final motor, and a removable inner core substantially occupying a volume reserved for the rotor. The conductive wires in the slots are impregnated under vacuum with a slot-impregnating composition including a heat-setting resin and a filler, and the composition is polymerized.

  • Patent number: 7574790
Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing a stator of an electrical rotating machine. The method includes: impregnating a first winding head with a first composition that includes a heat-setting resin and a filler of a first particle size; impregnating conductive wires in a slot region with a slot-impregnating composition that includes a heat-setting resin and another filler of a second particle size smaller than the first particle size of the filler of the first composition; and impregnating a second winding head with a composition that includes a heat-setting resin and a filler of a particle size larger than the second particle size.

  • Patent number: 7096985
Abstract: A vehicle has an engine driving an alternator. The electrical energy supplied by the alternator feeds an electric traction motor, via a rectifier, an electric line, and an inverter. The electric traction motor is mechanically coupled to a wheel. A super-capacitor is connected to the electric line by a voltage-matching circuit. A unit for controlling the torque applied to the vehicle wheel manages the circulation of the electrical energy in the drivetrain so as always to discharge the super-capacitor as a priority, in order to be able to be ready to recover the energy at the next braking.
