Patent number: 5190265Abstract: A service tool is provided for removal and replacement of vehicle parts. The service tool comprises a base, a lift arm mechanism including a base end in a distal end, the base end being pivotally mounted to the base. A jack is mounted to the base and the lift arm mechanism for pivotally moving the lift arm mechanism to adjust height of the distal end. A vehicle part adaptor is included for receiving a vehicle part to be removed or replaced. A ball and socket joint mounts the vehicle part adaptor to the lift arm mechanism distal end for allowing rotary motion of the vehicle part adaptor relative to the distal end in every direction and adjustable screws adjustably limit movement of the vehicle part adaptor to control attitude of the same.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1992Date of Patent: March 2, 1993Assignee: OTC Division of SPX CorporationInventors: Gerald E. Barry, Larry W. Betcher, C. P. Emerson

Patent number: 4761869Abstract: A bar-type puller having a cross block with a central section and a pair of end sections with a forcing screw threadably mounted in the central section. A pair of work-engaging members, such as pulling jaws, can be radially and axially adjustably mounted on the cross block by end sections of the cross block having spaced-apart arms to define spaces therebetween which receive the work-engaging members for infinite lateral adjustment along the arms. The work-engaging members have spaced-apart pins which span the top and bottom of the arms, with a slight clearance to facilitate lateral adjustment. The pins are caused to move into binding relation with the cross block when the work-engaging members are under load to lock the members in radially adjusted position. There is also provision for axial adjustment by providing additional spaced pins on the work-engaging members providing an alternate mounting location for the members to the cross block.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 1987Date of Patent: August 9, 1988Assignee: Owatonna Tool CompanyInventors: Gerald E. Barry, James L. Sandberg

Patent number: 4432499Abstract: Disclosed is a vehicle carrying a grinder-mixer providing a low bin profile and improved mixing through the use of complementing horizontal and vertical circulatory paths of the ground feed, which is produced by a pair of cooperating parallel auger conveyors extending in a horizontal plane along the bottom of the mixing bin in side by side relationship and rotating so as to move the feed in opposite directions, each feeding the other, in cooperation with a pair of vertical cooperating augers spaced axially of the horizontal augers and moving and mixing the ground feed along a circulatory path in vertical planes, the said horizontal and vertical circulatory paths intersecting to thereby greatly increase the mixing action. One of the horizontal augers is connected to a discharging system and is reversible to cooperate with the latter to empty the bin.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1980Date of Patent: February 21, 1984Assignee: Owatonna Manufacturing Company, Inc.Inventors: Larry L. Patent number: 3965660Abstract: A stack forming apparatus comprising a chassis with a stack forming container thereon and a crop pick up means for directing harvested crop into the container. The stack forming container includes a pivoted roof having sloped forward and rearward sections and actuators for pivoting the same through varying arcs to provide a resultant stack sloped at the front and rear edges thereof. The container contains a pivoted floor and a push-out fork mechanism which moves the stack within the container causing pivoting of the floor. The pivoted rear door at the top edge of the container will be opened either by tilting of the container floor or operating of a latch means to engage a door pivoting linkages with raising of the roof to facilitate discharge of the stack after formation.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 1974Date of Patent: June 29, 1976Assignee: Owatonna Manufacturing Company, Inc.Inventors: Glenn G. Kanengieter, Gerald E. Barry
