  • Patent number: 4665456
Abstract: Fitted into the record-lockout opening of a recording tape cassette is a reusable record tab which comprises a body that blocks the opening and at least one resilient leg projecting from the body. The leg is bowed to press against an inner ramp of the cassette housing when the record tab is inserted into the opening, thus holding the record tab snugly in position. A small aperture through the external face of the body receives the point of a writing instrument for convenient removal of the record tab. FIGS. 1-4 show a reusable record tab for a VHS videotape cassette, and FIGS. 5-8 show a reusable record tab for a Betamax videotape cassette.

  • Patent number: 4648514
Abstract: A hanging holder is provided which supports a videocassette with respect to a support channel and a vertical surface mounting the support channel. The holder is a closed sleeve into which the videocassette is inserted and includes a hook which engages the support channel. The holder may also be provided with a flexible lower surface to facilitate removal of the videocassette, a spring-biased detent for retaining the videocassette within the holder, an inwardly-extending projection which mates with a recess in the videocassette to control the insertion orientation of the videocassette into the holder and a locking rib extending adjacent the hook to contact the support wall or the support bracket and maintain the hanging holder at a predetermined angle with respect to the vertical surface upon which the support channel is mounted.

  • Patent number: 4553871
Abstract: Cleaning device includes a cleaning-fluid container on which is mounted a head including a reservoir to which cleaning fluid is valved from the container in an amount sufficient to clean a phonograph stylus without waste. The cleaning is performed with a porous cleaning pad extending across the reservoir. The porous cleaning pad preferably consists of open-cell plastic foam and an exterior velour covering.

  • Patent number: 4535432
Abstract: A device of the prior art has an elongated arm, on the underside of which is a porous cleaning pad that cleans a phonograph record when the arm is rotated around the record. The novel device is similar, but has a small reservoir pivotably mounted in the handle. To use the novel device, one fills the reservoir with cleaning fluid and pivots it to dump the fluid which saturates the cleaning pad. Then one rotates the arm to clean the record, repeating this procedure for each record side to be cleaned.

  • Patent number: 4293102
Abstract: A weight assembly adapted for use with a polymeric reel comprising a hub portion having a plurality of sockets opening through one side surface of the reel to approximately match the moment of inertia of the polymeric reel with that of a similar metal reel. The weight assembly has a plurality of weights spaced around and projecting from a ring, which weights are shaped and spaced so as to enter the sockets, and means are provided for releasably attaching the weight assembly to the reel with the weights in the sockets and the ring adjacent one side surface of the reel.
