  • Publication number: 20070131308
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of manufacturing a timber frame structural panel assembly, and to a timber frame structural panel assembly. The invention firstly provides a method of making a panel assembly comprising a framework of timber beams, at least one sheet of sheathing material and a breather membrane, all of which are secured together in a single fixing operation. The invention secondly provides a panel assembly comprising two panel structures, each panel structure comprising a pair of sheathing panels with a layer of insulating material therebetween, the panel structures being joined by a beam of timber which engages the sheathing panels of both panel structures and is secured thereto by a single line of wide crown staples.

  • Publication number: 20070049008
Abstract: A method for making a semiconductor device includes forming a patterned dielectric overlying active circuitry, the patterned dielectric having a plurality of cavities. A diffusion barrier is formed over the patterned dielectric. A conductive layer is formed over the diffusion barrier in the plurality of cavities. The conductive layer is etched back to be below a top surface of the dielectric, forming recessed areas over the conductive layers in the plurality of cavities. The recessed areas are then filled with a capping film. The capping film and the diffusion barrier are removed to provide a relatively smooth planarized surface. Providing a relatively smooth planarized surface reduces leakage currents between conductors.

  • Patent number: 7141232
Abstract: Molecular sieves are prepared by forming a reaction mixture slurry, spray drying the reaction mixture slurry to form particles, and heating the spray dried reaction mixture at a temperature and pressure sufficient to cause crystallization of the molecular sieve. The reaction mixture contains an organic templating agent capable of forming the molecular sieve. The template may be added to the reaction mixture either by adding all of the template prior to spray drying, or by adding a portion of the template prior to spray drying with the remainder being added after spray drying.

  • Publication number: 20060248754
Abstract: An excavator stump shearing device which is characterized by a blade assembly carried by various mount devices for attachment to an excavator bucket or to an excavator boom or bucket arm. In a first preferred embodiment the blade assembly is fixed to a blade mount drum which is removably gripped by the bucket and thumb of an excavator bucket to position the blade elements of the blade assembly for shearing a stump. In other embodiments the blade assembly mount devices are characterized by mount blocks, various blade mount boxes, a bucket tooth and tooth mount assembly and a bucket-engaging pad apparatus. The blade elements of the blade assembly include a bevelled shearing blade and a companion transverse wedge or stinger blade for engaging, splitting and shearing a stump responsive to operation of the excavator boom or arm and in some embodiments, the excavator bucket.

  • Publication number: 20060181086
Abstract: A hydroelectric power generating method and/or apparatus provides one or more inlet pipes perpendicular to a flow of water in a stream or river. The inlet pipes have a length and plural apertures along the length of the at least one inlet pipe. A feedline and a turbine generator combination are interconnected with the inlet pipes. One or more outlet pipes are interconnected with the feedline and the turbine generator combination. The outlet pipes have an elevation lower than the inlet pipe. A flow of water passes through the inlet pipes, the feedline, the turbine generator combination, and the outlet pipes, and generates electricity from the flow of water passing through the turbine generator combination. The hydroelectric power generating method also provides a pressure dissipation device that causes a reduction in the pressure of the water so that the water can be released safely back into the stream or river.

  • Publication number: 20060021993
Abstract: This invention relates to a ferrule dispenser for dispensing stud welding ferrules and to a package of ferrules for use with the dispenser. The dispenser comprises a rod that supports a spring loaded cam system. The cam system moves relative to the rod and includes a compression spring and a cam. The spring and cam work together to bias a pair of ferrule release pins inward and outward of the rod, selectively holding ferrules on an outer surface of the rod or releasing them onto a work surface. The package of ferrules used with the dispenser includes multiple sets of ferrules, each set including multiple ferrules uniformly stacked on a spindle. Each spindle has one open end that can pass through an opening in a handle of the dispenser and down a center bore of the dispenser for loading the ferrules from the spindle onto the dispenser.

  • Publication number: 20050063807
Abstract: An apparatus for collecting refuse, the apparatus comprising a vehicle having a frame formed as two substantially parallel members and a hopper secured to the frame. First and second bins may be connected by respective first and second dumping mechanisms to opposite, exterior sides of the hopper. The first and second dumping mechanisms may selectively and independently move respective first and second bins between stowed positions substantially below the hopper and dumping positions above the hopper. The width between the exterior extremes of the first and second bins when both are in stowed positions may substantially be defined by a summation of the width of the first bin, the distance between the outer extremes of the frame, and the width of the second bin.
