  • Patent number: 5676512
Abstract: An aerosol container cover having a central opening for a nozzle and an outer edge adapted for sealing attachment to the open end of an aerosol container body. The aerosol container cover being of a relatively thin walled metal and having a wall thickness in the range of 0.005 to 0.013 inch (0.127 to 0.330 mm) if the metal is steel, and being 0.005 to 0.018 inch (0.127 to 0.457 mm) in wall thickness if the metal is aluminum. The cover is thinner walled than would prevent distortion or eversion of the cover at government mandated minimum pressure levels in the aerosol container. The cover is of a generally convex dome shape as it extends from its outer edge to the central opening, and being free of any countersunk recess in the vicinity of its outer edge. In a method of making the aerosol container cover, the cover is attached to a container body by conventional seaming processing.

  • Patent number: 4966310
Abstract: A sealable, collapsible storage module for storing and shipping matter such as grain and plastic resins is disclosed. The module includes a body having a bottom portion and a flexible, collapsible upper portion. The flexible, collapsible upper portion is sealed to the bottom portion to define a sealable storage chamber for storing matter. The body also defines at least one sealable port in communication with the storage chamber through which matter is conveyed. The module also includes a plurality of internal support lines extending across the inside of the storage chamber wherein each support line is attached at its ends to opposing sides of the upper body portion. The plurality of support lines provides internal support for the upper portion to prevent it from rupturing when it is filled with matter such as grain.

  • Patent number: 4195749
Abstract: A container end for containers such as beverage containers provided with a dispensing opening sealed by a discrete tab secured to the inner side of the end and seated in the dispensing opening such that a closure portion of the tab may be manually depressed inward about a hinge point to expose the dispensing opening. The container end member and the tab are separate and discrete from one another and are joined mechanically by means of a retainer pin integrally formed in the container end. The peripheries of the dispensing opening and the tab closure portion are cooperatively associated to provide an adhesive annulus into which the tab closure portion is seated and to maintain the elevation of the tab closure portion below the elevation of the container end surrounding the dispensing opening.
